She still addressed the Ukraine invasion during her HOG awards season (at the SAGs and NYFCC), so the "she's not allowed to discuss politics during awards season" is just a false excuse. She'll rally behind him like most dems and out-of-touch celebs, and maybe shower us with Kindness Punks posts about wanting peace, unity, and love for the world

She's not an political world leader or a professor with the right culture or competences to say something that is not banal about the argument, whatever thing she's gonna say about it there will always be people complaining because or it's too superficial, or it's too woke, or tone deaf, or simply because she took a side.

 

Your post proves that, you want her to talk but at the same time you already act biased about it, this is why it's better to stay silent, the whole situation it's too complex and bigger than her.

 

The people in here that want her to talk about this will be the first to say that she should have stay silent about it if she spoke.

I'm sorry, but wtf. You can be a pop star AND have an informed and educated point of view. In my country, there's this pop star who had no access to higher education and started working to support her family when she was like 12 or 13, and every time she speaks about politic, she's on the right side, always eloquent... So to suggest that a pop star or someone who didn't go to Harvard would be incapable of giving a coherent and well-informed speech on politics is just wrong. 

 

And the reason I say this is that she has already made tone deaf comments in the past. Doesn't mean she can't say and do the right thing about the genocide happening in Palestine.
