I think the overall quality of the song is an important factor too, which explains why it underperformed

It would have done even worse had it been released as a standalone single not attached to a successful film.

I am curious if that will still happen. At this point it is known and expected that she will talk out her ass and say any sort of ridiculous BS just to grab headlines and promote the movie she is promoting at the moment. Yet, at the same time....Gaga used to be smarter than that and defy expectations, because she understands that is what you need to do to stand out. So it would be interesting if she employed a different tactic in the promo run for this movie. Which will be smash irregardless of the bizarre lies she tells, like the writing of the 80 page story, or telling herself she doesn't need herself anymore, or the flies quote. Like come on now.

 

 

Joker will not disappoint from a creative point of view (and that also includes its actors) but the movie ultimately won't be well received by its core fanbase. I mean, it's a musical after all. That's INSANE. 

 

Me thinks it'll do 700M WW.

I don't think she necessarily goes out of her way to say crazy sh*t just to grab headlines but she really just does crazy sh*t while preparing for her characters. She has always been a theater kid after all 

Can't help but feel like our expectations for Joker are a little too high, at least when it comes to acclaim.

I still don't know what to make of the whole musical thingy, tbh.

 

I keep thinking this is an illustration from those Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books.

The Oscar run is a promo marathon, anybody knows that. I hope she'll hire an agent who is usually serving this kind of stuff for the next time.

 

 

 

Variety also claimed that the movie will not be a traditional musical but a drama with musical sequences like ASIB which makes a big difference so I'm also confident in that.

I'm pretty sure she's working on some music for some times now.

She's not vocal at all about working in the studio anymore. So we'll probably don't have any clue about LG7 until it's ready to be released.

Is it too late to reschedule the Joker 2 film to premiere October 2023

I would gladly take a few reworked unreleased ARTPOP songs this year. Hallelujah has a lot of potential, without all the cringy verses.
