tragic news
But alzheimers is a nasty incurable disease, it is happy relief to pass away rather than live forgetting how to eat and your loved ones.. Im glad they released LFS, a fantastic album :heart2:

**** we all knew this day was sadly coming sooner rather than later but it still hurts. We truly owe Tony so much for saving our girl when she truly was at her lowest :weeps: May he rest in peace and that Gaga is surrounded by her own loved ones on this sad day

Before it inevitably happens, where did it state that Tony WANTED to record and promote L4S?

He wanted to record it immediately after they finished Cheek to Cheek promo.

Before what happens?

I remember this CBS interview. It was very hard to watch. You could feel how broken she was and felt at the time after all that she went through. The way Tony gave her the most invaluable gift, the gift of a lifetime. He rekindled her creative fire again. He made her believe in herself again. Supported her, encouraged her, to keep making music just how he kept making music over the decades.

"Number one, don't quit. Number two, listen to number one" – was the advice that Tony passed on to Gaga that he received from Duke Ellington that changed everything.

C2C was such a special era. The performances, interviews, promo videos, the tour. His passing today unlocked all of the core 2014-15 memories. Seeing her name trend this morning with his is bittersweet.

He's gone, but it's also a beautiful reminder of how, as a small but significant chapter, she's now inextricably linked with his towering legacy forever :heart2: Fly high, Tony.

Before ppl start claiming that she and his family forced him to promote while his health was deteriorating.

Yall should ignore any trolls trying it and don't take the bait. It's really insensitive.

**** on ATRL don't care about Tony and his health more than his own wife, kids, friends, and doctors.

One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga is the first thing on the Paramount+ homepage

Gaga must be devastated right now. I feel so bad for her. I was lucky enough to see the final One Last Time concert, his last live show ever. It's something I will cherish forever.

I'm so sad, we all knew this moment would have happened eventually giving his health conditions but when in fact this happens you're never really ready, rest in peace Tony :heart2:

A legend, a talent that had an amazing life and one of the most iconic careers in the music history, he helped Gaga through one of the worst moments of her career, I will always be grateful for his support. We love you and your legacy will remain forever.

I've been spamming his discography all afternoon

can't believe h's gone

this is happily sad, rip legend :chick3:

Omg Tony was her personal angel :weeps: RIP if it wasn't for you I wouldn't be able to hear Gaga sing Bang Bang. A true legend forever  :clap3:

I am sure she knew or was told beforehand that his condition was bad.

How amazing is it that so many younger people are sending their well wishes to Tony? Without Gaga, I do not think this would be the case. She really opened him up to an entirely new demographic that he so deserved to be opened up to. He was a consummate professional and the music world will miss him. Gaga's inevitable tribute at the Grammys next year will be so heart wrenching.

I didn't even think about this but yeah, a Grammy's tribute is something that could actually happen. The Grammys really embraced both Cheek to Cheek and Love for Sale.

The end of the 2022 performance was already tearful enough. It's going to be heart-gutting, ugh. :monkey:

Gaga performing "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" for Tony at the Grammy's would be so emotional :weeps:
