pop committee adores gaga, i wouldn't be surprised if she swept completely but outside of pop, she's not loved at all, hence zero main grammys. She's THE pop field darling. Sabrina is not a threat.

Certain someone can have that narrative despite being the most rewarded artist of all time, meanwhile Gaga doesn't even have that many but she can't have overdue narrative? Make it make sense.

It's not that she can't or shouldn't have, I'm just saying that this is only our perspective as fans and elsewhere I've never seen this discussion happening, in fact, the last few times she's lost a GF nom the winners were widely seen as deserving wins (a political rap song winning SOTY/ROTY under Trump admin / a black artist finally winning AOTY again / the most culturally relevant song of the year winning SOTY/ROTY).

 

Beyoncé managed to do it after building that narrative for over a decade with three back to back losses, just goes to show that it can be a very long proccess that has barely even started for Gaga. And it's something that's up to her team anyways, we as fans can't do nothing cause the voters aren't checking ATRL or stan twitter to see us "spreading the word" about this.

Low stakes discussion: I just read where Freddie mentioned the Rolling Stone photoshoot was a new beginning for Gaga. Sounds simplistic, lol, but between that & the new wig that everyone likes, I wonder if he's hinting she's going brunette. I think I'm one of the few in here who likes her blonde. 

 

That's a survey of randomly picked musicians who may or may not be voting members of the Recording Academy. Take it with a grain of salt.

 

I think her best odds in GF are, as wild as it may seem, AOTY > ROTY >>>>>> SOTY. She seems to be getting good cross-genre support this time around and that bodes well for her in AOTY. Plus, the rap vote getting split between Kendrick, Clipse, and Tyler and her Pop competition only being Sabrina really (Justin won't get as many lbr, he missed both SOTY and ROTY) means she has a viable path. The real dark horse is Benito who, despite not performing well in these polls, has a strong political narrative, new Latin voter bloc induction, Superbowl buzz and recent Latin Grammys win as well and has a lot going for him. In ROTY, Luther seems to be the frontrunner but only by a small margin and Abra is the clear favorite Pop choice with excellent production. ROTY usually goes to the biggest chart hits but with strong campaigning during voting period it can be a passion pick. Slim chances for SOTY.

 

I'm just really hoping that they find a way to spread the wealth at least, another Kendrick sweep would be so boring and unnecessary. 

 

Atm, I think her only locks are Dance Pop and Pop Vocal (oh and screw that Grammys Guru account saying MBF also has an equal chance in PVA, no it doesn't ) but she's overdue for her first GF win.
