This is a completely baseless thought that just past my brain, but, do yall think there's any chance that abracadabra wasn't nominated for best music video due to it being debuted at the Grammys?

 

I know this makes no sense, but it just feels like such an obvious nomination for a song that was nominated in every other category possible, including ROTY/SOTY. I wonder if it was part of some rules behind the scenes or if it would be a bad look for the Grammys to award a video that debuted at it own show. Idk. Again, this is just a raaaandom thought that it very very likely not true and I should just accept the L, I just am so shocked it was nommed

I think the committee simply doesn't see the Abracadabra video as anything more than a choreography video and had no intention of nominating it... maybe Disease would have had a better chance if it had been the submission this time

Simple answer, if it wins Pop Vocal Album then it was well loved within Pop Voters. If it didn't win AOTY, there was not enough support from other Genre Voters or even Possible for Pop Voters to vote for other genre albums if they liked those other genre album more

Like I get they hate Taylor and Gaga that much but to bandwagon on a certain artists subpar song that has yet to apologize for all the tone deaf **** she did and that's in the company of Elon and bezos is just wild.

That was literally when she was barely making the album.

Making one song then pivoting immediately doesn't really prove she's going or promised to go in that direction.

I remember everyone having meltdowns because she said she wanted to go a more killah route (which I don't get cause that's a top 5 song)

The fact that Shammys could give Anxiety and APT. both SOTY and ROTY noms but not DWAS  was it necessary to prop up that Beatles AI slop last year? Don't understand wtf they're smoking sometimes.

I hate Gaga's team tbh. Yes obviously she'll probably manage to attend, but is it really necessary the stress and everything? First the VMAs this year (which is the reason why she didn't win VOTY etc.) and now the Grammys...
