Gaga really did end up releasing the best female album of the year. I really hope Gaga in ends up with the album of the year win and more Grammys too come for mayhem. She deserves it.

MOTY (mom of the year) :WAP:

Miley and Kesha albums need to be higher than the Showgirl, and Mayhem needs to be 8.1 to break the tie :eli:

are there any theories or has anyone figured out the meaning of the blonde/black wigs for the Mayhem Ball?

at first I assumed black was Mistress of Mayhem (red opening outfit, "bring me the girl" etc) and blonde was Gaga but during Million Reasons she is wearing the black wig while Mayhem tries to lure her in so that was confusing

I know it's not that deep but was wondering if anybody had any ideas

sabrina's mbf isn't strong enough to split the pop voters. Gaga's year has been amazing

the TALENT

i think it's kind of the best chance she's ever had and i think the incoming campaign will be great... they'll still probably snub her in the end nn

I think it's meant to symbolize her evil side overpowering the angelic side as she embraces the darkness after all the trials and tribulations and finally by the end the two co-exist in harmony within her, thus the part-blonde, part-brunette wig during BR.

Some albums getting rightfully panned makes me glad I stan an actual artisté.

One of the hottest contests in the 68th annual Grammy Awards is in a category that rarely rates headlines – best traditional pop vocal album. Tony Bennett was such a heavy favorite in the category (14 wins from 17 nominations) that there was little suspense in this category.

But since Bennett died in 2023, the category has become competitive. This year's top contenders include Laufey, who won two years ago for Bewitched; Lady Gaga, who shared two awards in the category with Bennett for their duet albums; Barbra Streisand, who has yet to win in the category despite 13 nods; and Elton John & Brandi Carlile, who, among them, have won 16 Grammys.

Laufey is entered with A Matter of Time, her follow-up to Bewitched; Gaga with Harlequin, which includes alternate takes of songs from her film Joker: Folie à Deux, a box-office disappointment; Streisand with The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2, on which the legendary star teams with other singers (including Laufey); John & Carlile with their collab Who Believes in Angels?

All four seem certain to be nominated, which just leaves one open slot. The album that probably has the best chance to fill it is Seth MacFarlane's Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements. McFarlane has been nominated three times in this category. Sinatra won in this category in 1996 with Duets II. (What's more, Bennett and Willie Nelson both won with albums that paid tribute to the GOAT of traditional pop singers.)

Gaga is also likely to be nominated for album of the year and best pop vocal album for MAYHEM. She won in the latter category in 2011 with The Fame Monster. She has yet to win album of the year.

If this cracked polycarbonate cover wins Best Album Cover :lmao:

I was so close to making my first gay male friend. it was someone I met at an lgbt event and we had a similar upbringing. me, him, and my non-binary friend were gonna meet up for coffee last week, but he ghosted us. I asked our group chat "hey are we still good for Sunday?" and he never responded, never read the chat. so I'm disappointed. but let me listen to Miss Gaga's Fashion of His Love to cheer myself up.

i think as the show goes on the blond wig turns dark, i always had this MV continuation to abra with GOE where her good side is corrupted by eating the apple but alas :gaycat5:

Bloody Smashery rising on a ******* Sunday, ugh this year will be GREAT :jonny2:

I know this isn't happening, but the idea of Disease being nominated and winning Best Pop Solo would be sooooo :jonny: The weirdest song to ever be in that category. And one of the most deserving.

Does AOTY still have that special committee?

That committee has always hated her and kept her from general field

:mayhem:

Die with a Smile spends its 58th week in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 this week, tying with Beautiful Things and BOAF for the 2nd highest number of all time after Blinding Lights.
