Do you all think that the people who grew up listening to Madonna in the 80s are dead sisters or that these people are now listening to Lady Gaga?

:suburban:

in stan language  "forgotten" doesn't mean lost media but not relevant anymore, left behind, poorly aged. don't act dumb.

17 years into her career Madonna got a solo #1 with 'Music' and a Top 5 with 'Don't Tell Me.'

Lets not be foolish now.

that was 25 years ago :suburban: a whole generation of people have been born, grown up, and have had kids of their own since then :suburban:

anyways enough about madonna. TDD only dropped 4 slots on the BBH100 this week even though i heard it was a flop? :coffee:

We are talking about the present day, not 17 years into Madonna's career.

Just like Gaga then (Hot 100 is irrelevant now, we are taking Global into account), a global top 5 with Abracadabra and a #1 with DWAS. I hope Gaga's inspiration doesn't go to the toilet like 24 years in her career like with Madonna

Yes and now these totally-not-forgotten precious solo #1 and top 5 are now being outstreamed by Blade of Grass and It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) respectively

No solo top 5 in 25 years. No solo top 50 in 20 years.

With DWAS being Gaga's 4th song to land in the YE Hot 100 top 10 (and 1st at likely #1), she's now in the company of several MPGs. The following female singers also have four top 10s on the BB YE Hot 100: Ariana, Beyoncé, Janet, Madonna, Rihanna, and Sza (I'm counting Luther since it's going to end up at 2 or 3).

Songs if you're curious:

  Hide contents

Gaga: Poker Face (2), Just Dance (4), Bad Romance (8), and Die with a Smile (predicted at 1)

Ariana: Problem (9), 7 Rings (7), Save Your Tears (2), and Die For You (7)

Beyoncé: Crazy in Love (4), Check on It (10), Irreplaceable (1), and Single Ladies (8)

Janet: Miss You Much (5), That's the Way Love Goes (4), Together Again (6), and All For You (3)

Madonna: Like a Virgin (2), Crazy for You (9), Vogue (5), and Take a Bow (8)

Rihanna: Umbrella (2), LTWYL (7), We Found Love (8), and Work (4)

Sza: Kiss Me More (6), Kill Bill (3), Snooze (9), and Luther (predicted at 2 or 3)

DWAS being the second farthest entry taking into consideration solo careers (17 years) only behind thee legendary Janet (19) and also #1, the double GAG.:DWAS:

For a moment I thought I was on SYG, why are talking about #her when we could be doing a MAYHEM ranking for the 25562nd time

Also Gar becoming the ONLY female artist to join Janet with multiple #1s across 3 different decades with DWAS was another gag. Janet has always been extremely nice and supportive towards Gar from the very beginning so it just feels correct that she joins her in these all-timer GOAT lists. :gaycat:

? Gaga's songs Bloody Mary and Always remember us this way that never went top 40 are bigger than both of these so what's your point? :skull:  Abracadabra is bigger too.

Are we really not getting that Colbert interview? I was actually kinda hyped for it

Does anyone know if tickets are available within the account for Europeans on Ticketmaster? I find it strange that there is literally not a single concert with resale tickets.

The crashouts in that DWP2 thread :deadbanana2: it really irks some individuals that EGO winner Lady Gaga is here to stay :sistrens:
