To think just 36 hours ago I was full throat gospel singing WHEN I BUILD THAT HEAVENNNN AS I WILL SOME DAAAAAaaaaaaAAAAAY thinking it was Gaga's best vocal on record possibly ever and today Gaga has actually built that heaven and her actual best vocal on record with  Abracadabra 

The amount of viral tweets and tiktoks for her at the Grammys + Abracadabra  she captured the zeitgeist in a way she hasn't since Rain On Me imo.

And people wanted her to release on friday please. This worked out perfectly.

I know that is just wishful thinking but there was a time when we thought we'd never get another song similar to what she did before like Abracadabra and here we are…

The fact that we thought she was just plugging Mouse Labs when she was also teasing this ******* banger  also this means that Abracadabra's most likely 2.5 years old at this point  

 

 

If the album is as good as Disease and Abracadabra, and the era has more great videos and performances coming in the future, Gaga has the potential to make MAYHEM a Brat experience for the millennials. A decent amount of social media hype around Gaga being back, remembering how it was watching her debut, looking at her (satanic, illuminati) videos in secret, being back in recession pop era, how she is back doing cocaine and worshiping the devil because the bops are bopping etc... Zach Campbell put it pretty nicely, how it's like watching an old friend slay and succeed again. There might be something comforting in her doing something so familiar again while putting a modern spin on it, in this otherwise unpredictable effed up world. A reminder of what it was like in the more '' innocent '' past, if you will.

 

But Gaga needs all the promo and push she can get. People are excited, she needs to fan the flames as much as possible!

Yeah it feels like the GP went from being unaware about this album pre-Grammys to being very excited. Very successfull era re-launch even if the song doesn't smash.

well yes, but abracadabra and disease already sound different from each other yet make sense in the same album. she also said the whole album is fun and hard hitting so even if we get a couple slower moments i think we can expect half of the album to sound like this. there's no way shadow of a man isn't a bop

This is absolutely spot on. Even though it's a small sample size, I've noticed that even people who used to dislike her back then are now really into Abracadabra.

 

 

The pop scene has been dull for so long that her return might be hitting as a nostalgic reminder of "better times."

 

It's similar to what happened with Madonna years ago—she was heavily criticized by many, but once people had to acknowledge that she was actually a great artist and far better than what was happening in music at the time, they switched and started calling her one of the greatest.
