What was the last pop era that genuinely felt unavoidable?
RENAISSANCE and BRAT definitely felt like cultural moment albums. Neither were perfect era's, but both generated conversation, club nights and had amazing tours. BRAT certainly felt unavoidable in the UK at least. In the traditional sense, it would be Future Nostalgia, Short n Sweet and SOUR.

The Music Industry is Dying
How dramatic. It's been a bad year for music and I think this is being reflected in the Spotify numbers. The "music industry" is making more money than ever. Touring is making more money than ever. It does feel like there is a lull right now, but that happens with every format of music consumption.

Beyoncé
Who knew World Wide Woman and If had stans. If 2 songs had to go, Bey made the right choice with those 2.

Beyoncé
I can't believe I just paid £130 for a vinyl! But I had to have it.
-
Dua Lipa
There's not been a MTV EMA since 2024, it was put on ice due to budget cuts.
-
Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
I won't lie and say I'm a Madonna fan, I've always been indifferent to her music, probably because Hard Candy was my introduction to Madonna and we all know what came after that.. This album is incredible though, Fragile is my song of the year! Welcome back Queen!

Beyoncé
Wait isn't Donk a leftover from Self-Titled or was it originally for B'Day and then was reworked for Self-Titled, but still didn't make it?
-
Zara Larsson - 'Midnight Sun: Girls Trip'
After hammering Midnight Sun for over a year, I'm finally ready for a new single, it's time for Eurosummer!
- David Guetta brings out J.Lo at 80k Stade de France concert tonight

Beyoncé
I thought she might do an Instagram post or something on her website on 29/5 as so many people thought the album was coming, but it's just radio silence. Oh it's bad.

Spotify reveals their predictions for "Song of the Summer." Thoughts?
No predictions needed, Midnight Sun is the song of the summer!
-
DARA - "Bangaranga"
Her stage presence is off the charts and we will be streaming Bangaranga all summer. A queen, an icon etc. Massively deserved winner!
-
Madonna & Sabrina Carpenter - "Bring Your Love"
I feel the same, I was perched after the performance, but the vocals are off and it's just a bit flat in general. Sadly neither I Feel So Free or Bring Your Love are touching Confessions.
- Beyoncé "Best Thing I Never Had" - what was the real problem?
-
Taylor Swift - "Elizabeth Taylor"
If this was the lyric video then fair enough, but as an actual music video. We're in the pits!
