Seeing her at #99 in the world on Monthly Listeners via Spotify is insane.

I loved how much she talked about how much she loves Blackout in the book, how proud she is of it and what a fun experience it was to make  

 

As a day one super fan, reading the book has been borderline agonizing. I was 7-years-old when I begged my dad to buy me ...Baby One More Time on its release weekend, and now, at 32, I vividly remember how terribly I felt for her while watching, from the outside, every moment she revisits so painfully here. To know now that it was all so much *worse* than I ever could've imagined, it's just...completely unbelievable how strong she is. That she was able to survive all of it is a true miracle of perseverance, to say the absolute least.

 

Britney not saying ONE word about the making of Circus and FF or what she thought about them in the book was so sad I know she was contractually obligated to make those albums and that was part of what she hated, but they're still amazing albums (BJ can rot)

Yesterday was officially Merry Britmas day from here on out. 

 

I ran down to one of the local book stores to grab a copy of the book wearing my Britney shirt and filled with excitement. Following the mess of that Concrete Playground article in which Britney was going to hand out books in Sydney (was actually an impersonator), I went down with some work friends to the Sydney Opera House and sprinted to the Britney bus stop where there were fans and a few TV reporters. I managed to get a picture with the impersonator and was the first one to score a free book.  

 

I also scored another copy which I gave to one of my workmates who was very happy. Following this, had a few drinks and went along to the Crossroads screening. This movie is so nostalgic for me and I still remember being very young, feeling somewhat uncomfortable being five/six watching the hotel bedroom scene and not knowing the context to some of the deeper storylines. And the singalong at the end was an absolute treat.

I’m visiting her discography since all those news and i remembered how much in love i was with her. I bought all her albums back in the day till britney jean (and yes i love that album idc what anyone says) and i remember how much i miss her. 

 

I’m not expecting a comeback era but i hope her spotify numbers will increase a lot like how it happened to Lady Gaga. Her discography is so good..

i haven’t read this yet but i’m sad she doesn’t mention FF at all. while it is one of her best albums in my opinion, it was around that time i was first made aware of some of the dark stuff happening in her life (thanks to forums like atrl and britney fans shedding light on the scary facts)

 

does she mention will.i.am at all? i’d be interested to hear about that relationship
