Turns out all it took to get Kim Petras rocketing back on track with truly spectacular flourish was leaving both the d*ctor and Republic Records in the dust—and this Detour is, unquestionably, the best material she's ever made. Really and truly blown away by how fantastic it is, front to back, and couldn't be prouder of her (or, for that matter, more confused at the Republic execs who made her sit on this gloriousness for so long until she had no choice but to escape their apparently imbecilic clutches and drop it herself).

Both certifiable robberies, both gut-punch losses, but it's gotta be RENAISSANCE for me.

Stumbled upon this yesterday and am completely and totally obsessed; for sure one of my favorite debuts in forever and ever.

Actual footage of me listening to Demetria's latest after the first two tracks: "Fast" and "Here All Night" (both of which are...fine) being the lead singles when she had literally every other banger on there?? Most paramount of them all being (!!!) "Frequency"???? Completely mind-boggling.

Color me *very* pleasantly surprised! I've only liked a small handful of Bruno tracks, but this is actually fantastic… I do think it could rather easily take home both ROTY and SOTY if it smashes, like it sounds like it will. It's total Grammy catnip (they might as well save time and engrave Pop Duo/Group for them already).

It's all very Jocelyn, but the chorus is *so* good. Impressive! The video, on the other hand, is...terrible. Over this track, of all things, she should be serving "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," not goofy girly flopping all over a car like an extra in Titane.

If this isn't a worldwide #1 smash, I genuinely don't know what is. Completely and totally incapable of stopping myself from playing it—or spinning the video, which is equally exquisite—on endless loop.

"Espresso" is genuinely extraordinary. Instant contender for song of the summer 2024!

Somethin' about him is made for somebody like me Baby, come over, come over And god knows I'm trying, but there's just no use in denying The Boy Is Mine I really and truly *cannot* get enough of this—her best album to date, without question. Not a single skip! The holy trinity of "supernatural," "the boy is mine," and "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"! So proud of Ariana for not only coming through, but doing it *this* hard.

I remain incredibly excited for the album, and *love* the production on "Von dutch," but like...can she write some more lyrics, perhaps? I feel like there's maybe 7 lines in the entire song, just endlessly repeated and repeated and repeated. That's fine to soundtrack a K-hole at the gay bar and whatever, but if she combined this sound with actual verses, it'd be an all-timer (see: "Vroom Vroom").
