Anyone else getting an address error when trying to check out on her store? Specifically for the alternate cover vinyl?

I know this award is a joke but the point is, she has cemented herself in history with the likes of Whitney and Lauryn. And on top of that she won an award for a genre that completely ridiculed and ex

Am I the only one who might not like it?

Idk it might need a few listens for me...

I think it’s normal. I am actually surprised to not see more dislikes.

Despite borrowing a bit from DIL, B'Day and Blow, it's unlike anything she's ever done.

Don't sweat it, it's ok. I do hope it grows on you though.

Her best album and Virgo’s Groove just dethroned Deja Vu as her best song.

Plastic off the sofa is giving sweet soul/ frank ocean, not what I was expecting because of the title but it eats

Virgos Groove is definitely that girl so far, Academy Award I fear :WAP:

Y'all, my fellow Hive  I must confess that the album is not clicking with me yet. There are a few stand-out songs (Virgo's Groove, Cuff It, Plastic Off The Sofa) but overall I wasn't instantly feeling a connection like with any of her past efforts (including EIL and TG). I can't even think of reasons why that is, because it is a quintessential Bey album. I've been kinda depressed/burn-out this past month and was hoping this album could lift my soul. Really hoping it'll grow on me!

I’m not a Hive, but I loved the tracks more when I heard them individually on shuffle with other songs rather than back to back on the album. I love the album as a collection of songs, but it’s not an album I want to listen to 1-15.

I'm That Girl and Alien Superstar are kind of smashing on YT. I think it's safe to say they'll have the biggest streaming debuts, along with Cozy, SR and Cuff It.

It’s interesting how a lot of the songs sound like 2-3 songs in one. The one big critique people have is that there’s a lack of melodies, and I can see that being somewhat of a valid claim, but the way many of the tracks reach an in your face climax that seamlessly transitions into the next track makes up for it. She is literally reading and kónting, it’s not meant to be cookie cutter dance pop.

I remember feeling really deflated after all the anticipation when BMS came out and I didn't really like it... Then 2 weeks later I'm drunk having the time of my life to it.

I'd say, don't put too much pressure on any body of work. Pull yourself away, do a little self care/treat yourself in the evening and then give the album another listen.

If it doesn't stick, be excited that there's another 2 albums on their way

Ghost/Haunted and Yoncé/Partition really paved.

Some will not be into this album and it's okay. The conservative ones will even trash her for it and pretend she's lost it but it's a fun dance album and she made that clear it's to escape. If it doesn't click after a few listens then just move on and wait for the next two albums, this is the reason she made sure to do  two other albums. I suspect one album will be more traditional in sound at least but this one she is playing with it.
