The song completely loses me when the 2nd hook kicks in, right up to that part it's actually pretty decent.

I mean she clearly loves Stevie since she sampled the iconic guitar riff on Edge of Seventeen for Bootilicious + I agree that Bodyguard clearly lives in the same realm as Bodyguard

We dont talk enough about the excellence of Already, Bigger, Otherside, FYWB and BSG. If it werent for the disastrous campaign of The Gift, these songs would be praised way more. She ate hard on TG tbh

It's also crazy to think she was prepping a Black Is King tour for summer 2020. Then the pandemic happened… she may not have promoted it much during release but it looks like she was prepared to give it another life. I still need a FYWB performance. My jaw was on the ground when I watched the video for the first time.

all i can say is thank god that didn't happen. we did NOT need an entire afrobeats tour after she came off of OTR II. everyone was ready for another studio album by 2020. the side projects really turned ppl off 

 

judging by the performance of the visual album and how to this day no one seems to really care about that album in her discog other than hive, the ticket sales for that tour would have been a mess.
