Yeah don't come for me but while I recognize the artistry and dexterity it takes to make Cowboy Carter, I gave it another shot because of the anniversary and it's still boring, sorry. All those midtempos and ballads back to back with the folky/country arrangements are just not my thing at all.

CC is my least favourite of her post 4 albums, but it is objectively better than the pre 4 albums. I'm convinced that lots of people have decided they don't like that album because of its streaming stats.

B'Day is difficult to place. The original standard track list is incredible. The deluxe version (which has become the most common edition) is pretty weak.

 

 

 

I'm also convinced some people think 'album full of fun bops = good music'.

 

I'm happy to hear the argument on CC. I think it's great and an ambitious project. But it is bloated.

 

However, Lemons at the bottom of your rankings is crazy work. That is literally art.
