That's what an album is! A body of work that should be listened entirely at least most of the time, you press play and it goes until to the end.

Very hard to find albums that are perfect from start to finish, but if you skip 1-2 tracks (or even 3 for longer albums) I think that still counts as a full experience. And I can do that with most of her albums.

 

DIL - deleted Hip Hop Star, That's How You Like It and Daddy but that's still 12 tracks

BDay standard edition - I play front to back in full

I don't listen to Sasha ever (but occasionally play Sweet Dreams and Dissappear)

4 expanded version - deleted BTINH and I usually skip Run The World 

ST - deleted Pretty Hurts and I usually skip Superpower (lately Flawless too )

Lem - I play it front to back in full

Renaissance - I only skip AUIYM but considering it's 16 tracks long that's an amazing feat

 

Cowboy Carter in comparison feels like a chore to sit through front to back. I deleted almost half of it to be able to enjoy it in one go as a body of work. Currently sits at 15 tracks (16 if we count Oh Louisiana bc of the damn cutout from Ya Ya).

Truthfully though, if you can't listen to a Beyoncé album front to back (sans I Am Sucha Farce), the problem isn't a dearth of quality music but your deficiency in taste

All of them other than Sasha Fierce and Dangerously In Love. "The album is not bloated if you make your own playlist" is such a self own.

The vocal performance of Freakum Dress still impresses me, the way she begins very soft with the delivery and then just amps it up and goes off.

Protector is one of the best songs on CC, and possibly top 5 across all her albums lyrically.

I never claimed the album is bloated. I don't complain that Beyoncé has given us more songs with this release. Everyone will click with different songs, so all in all it give us fans more to listen to (the bits we like anyway).
