Beyoncé

This is part 1 of the Beyoncé discussion.

The tour will be a good thing for her image. She'll probably go viral a lot and people will talk about her divine talent and looks. The tour is actually a smart thing to do before dropping new music. Hopefully act iii comes out this year

The GP and stans know that Beyonce is talented. Y'all be letting them people lie to Y'all. They hate her because she is a talented black woman with beauty and success to match as well. People hate the praise she gets. The hate has nothing to do with them hard down believing she is overrated lmao. Just like people were saying that Lemonade and Renaissance was mid albums that didn't deserve Album of the Year but since CC won they are saying Lem and Rem should have won instead.

I remember when I was a teenager, I wanted the haters to understand and acknowledge her talent and how much better she is than every other pop girlie. You don't have to like her, but at least admit she is the best.

However, they are bitter so they never will, but what's important is that Bey is a legend because of her talent and the hard work she's put into her craft, her dedication and sacrifices. Most people understand and acknowledge that, and then there are the very few but loud ones full of hate. Let them be, what does it matter :gayoncecat3:

Exactly I'm not begging anyone to understand it anymore.

The love I have for this woman is the kind of love you normally only have for people related to you

It does feel like it's more hate than normal especially with TikTok you can see the numbers in real time. For example the she doesn't deserve it videos have close to 3million likes and millions of views.

It's sad, but some people choose to feed of negativity. Why not focus on what you like instead.

If Beyonce crumbled in tears and had a meltdown, the hate would eventually subside to a simmer.  But she never has, and she never will -- that's why people are so angry.   As a culture, we live to build celebrities up so we can tear them down and humble them.  We want them to grovel and acknowledge they aren't any different than us so we can feel better about ourselves.  A lot of people are deeply unhappy, and directing that rage at celebrities who can't argue or fight back like the people they're really mad at in their own lives can gives them an outlet.

I have no doubt Beyonce is affected by this stuff.  She likely has bad days, especially lately with everything going on with Jay.  But she isn't going to broadcast it to the world, and she never will.  The hate will never stop, but it'll ebb and flow like it has the last 30 years.  The only person I feel really bad for is Blue, as I'm sure there are kids at school who use it against her.  But I'm sure they knew this would happen and have prepared her for it.

It's just that this years Grammys went viral so everything is ten times bigger on social media.

It's really not about to do anything though

The hate on tiktok does seem big :rip:

Maybe because she's not active on there much?

People are used to Celebs having public breakdowns and Beyonce ain't giving them that lmfao. They also want Beyonce attention so bad. Sorry but Bey is not about to be sitting on a toilet talking to Y'all on IG Lives.

The hate is sth, but trust the same people will gladly tune in to listen to the lead single of Act3 :suburban:

That's an interesting take.

I believe 4 was a showcase of her musical genius and who she is an artist, musician, and vocalist. All tracks boast intricate and complex production and vocal arrangement, which doesn't seem the case with most of ST and Lemonade. Let's be honest now.

And again, I'm not surprised that Beyoncé continues to pay homage to 4, whether it's by reaffirming its legacy through interviews or by performing most songs off it. Hell, the "Renaissance World Tour" could have easily been renamed the "4 World Tour" at this point. On the other hand, she got rid of Lemonade as soon as she could. It may remind her of painful memories, sure, but it's interesting to analyze how she moves.

I also reckon she simply didn't overthink anything about the 4 recording session. It all stemmed from her heart.

I'm not sure if you're implying ST and Lemonade don't have complex production (and if so I disagree) but can kind of see your point about vocal arrangement in regards to the type of vocals showcased. 4 certainly was going farther, stretching her vocal possibilities to experimental places like the bridge of I Care but for example, if we look at songs like Ghost/Haunted or No Angel or even just the background vocals of ***Flawless where she's singing operatically, I think there very clearly is a lot of intricate vocal arrangement being done, she just makes it look easy, not to mention from an artistic standpoint, her holding back allows her to paint with her vocals in ways she might not have done if it were B'Day.

And still I think 4 as an album isn't as well made as Lemonade (which has the genre variety of 4 but with far more cohesion, a better concept, a clearer message, and on-average, better songs) and ST (where she sharpened her knives insofar as inserting actual themes beyond "love" into her solo albums and started blending tracks and not looking at album making as a series of songs but a series of moments).

Racism is obviously a factor in all this beyoncé disrespect (they are MAD she won best country album) but i think another key reason is that imo she hasn't connected with gen z, who dominate stan culture, to the same extent as other millenial artists like taylor or charli. They're the main ones saying she doesn't deserve it cause they haven't heard anything else besides texas hold'em. Most of them only listen to what shows up on their fyp on tiktok, so it's not surprising they didn't sit through a 27 tracks album. Obviously she doesn't care (and i'm glad she doesn't  dumb down her music to please the short attention span crowd), but it would be cool if she pushed an album again for the last time.. they would not treat her like this if they experienced a Beyoncé era in its full potential imo. Even if this album wasn't made for the charts at all, it would have been received better if it had visuals, for example

Bey is also getting a  lot of negative bots that stay repeating the same dumb **** on algorithms. Bey needs a better team tbh.

CC tour this year should make one thing pretty clear to everyone, she wants to space out this trilogy. We'll get a new album in about a year, with her biggest GLOBAL (hopefully) tour yet in 2027.

Y'all. I have a friend who I might be seeing the Cowboy Carter Tour. He loves Beyoncé... I - I think. He loves some of her music anyway. But...

He doesn't like Partition!? He doesn't even know BLOW!? And he said she left out lots of bops on Renaissance and put in random back catalogue stuff. He wanted to hear Halo and Best Thing I Never Had :rip:

He wants to get a Club Ho Down ticket... like if you don't know these hymns the Hive are gonna bust your ass.

Gen Z people have an over inflated ego lmao. They think just because their is a new form of Celebrity with social media personalities that actual Celebrities should pander and bow down to them. Like ***** Beyonce and others are not in your world. This 43 year old woman that's been famous since 97 doesn't have to cater to them hacks and do dumb **** on the internet for points. It's a blessing in a disguise though that Beyonce is 3 decades in her career and still getting massive attention like a new young artist

Well said. I've always stated her lack of connection with Gen z has always been a huge problem. I can pinpoint to the 2010's, her absence from the charts and most specifically gatekeeping lemonade. It's why they connect the most with millennial artists like Taylor, Ariana, and Rihanna.

I'll take people hating her because she beat their favs over hating her because she sat on a cop car for like 5 seconds in a music video.

Top 7 on CC:

2 Hands 2 Heaven

Ya Ya

Tyrant

America Requiem

Sweet/Honey/Buckin

Alligator Tears

Flamenco
