She "may be"? Girl no she literally IS. Even without trying to incite it. To a level she's even more polarizing considering she actually has the voice to back it up and people STILL are so angry. But I've never seen a woman cause such a stir to a such a MULTI-GENERATIONAL level other than Madonna. I think it's so funny that I truly feel this is the first year they didn't mass promo Beyoncé being at the Grammy's and they got lower ratings than last year. 
 

Like it or not, Beyoncé is their ONLY real Grammy magnet. Now she's got the Grammy she's always wanted and you best believe she's not gonna show up anymore the way she use to. 
 

The Grammys wouldn't be having this moment right now if it WEREN'T for her. Matter of fact they wouldn't have had ANY of their biggest viral moments within the last decade if it weren't for her lol. So whether people like it or not… she is THAT girl and the kind of star that quite frankly is within the ranks only reserved for people like Michael and Madonna.

Until it's doing 2M at least or 3M like Cuff It on its own, they will not do anything. 

And tbh I genuinely don't know if 300k is enough to justify the investment. It seems on the low side.

On the topic of Bodyguard...I think it's THE song that would benefit most from a "quick lil remix" single treatment with a feature. 

 

The AOTY has been secured, so everything after the fact is effectively just icing on the cake. Essentially anything to come can just be received as a fun victory lap. Optically speaking.

 

In actuality, it's an easy way to nab a post-release hit from an album that wasn't promoted, has no videos (yet), and didn't organically yield a Cuff It type viral moment post-release.

Maybe it's even time to do the Taylor collab on a remix of Bodyguard. The girls all thought it was her to begin with. 

 

I'm in no way a fan of TS, but CC needs something sizeable to give it that extra air of newness for the tour. 

 

For me, music is ultimately a "product" and this lengthy spell of nothingness around CC has seen its material prematurely reach the end of its commercially-viable lifecycle. 

 

IMO, I don't know if the tour alone is enough to reverse that course. 

 

Plus, to me, it would be nothing more than doing what was done with the BMS, Cuff It, BMS, AHAP remixes.

 

At the same time, this is largely my Chart Hive button talking. In reality, the era doesn't *need* anything beyond the tour and visuals (eventually).Big sales secured, #1 single secured, AOTY secured, haters mad and endless thinkpieces...secured. 

 

That said, I'd be lying if I said I don't get excited when Bey leans into her Pop girl bag and delivers these big cultural zeitgeist moments, which is what a TS on Bodyguard would be. Even if IDGAF about TS personally.
