Another Beyonce song going viral. She's never beating the "She can never flop" allegations

I know Blue is smug af right now you teach your mother not to doubt you again sis

Since we're talking albums. I actually haven't revisited CC since the two times I streamed it on release day

Call me a flop fan all you want, but country has never been my thing and while I respect B for touching new territory and the strides this project has made for black country artists, musically it's not interesting to me.

it's also wayyy to long imo and not a serve, especially coming after Renaissance which was undoubtedly a slay and such a well put together project. Sorry not sorry

If Sasha Fierce ends up charting over Cowboy Carter, I will laugh.

most her albums are better than 4 lol

it's so overrated by the hive

only debut and IASF are easily weaker imo

4 is amazing. It's old school r&b and brought us Love On Top. What kind of slander is this. Only Lemonade is better.

Anyone who is saying that they prefer CC to 4 is lying to themselves. Like it's okay for some of Bey's older albums to be better than her most recent even though that was never the case for Renaissance.:coffee2:

I guess it depends on what you're judging. If it's individual tracks I'd say 4 is better (it has lower lows tho), but as a body of work Cowboy Carter is much stronger. The fact that she rearranged 4's tracklist completely shows how it's was not as thought out to begin with (the original order works much better tho), while Cowboy Carter works as its own journey. Her way of producing and layering vocals is way more complex now too.

100%. 4 is one of those albums where deluxe tracks were better than at least 2/3 songs on the main tracklist.

Remove the schmaltzy "I Was Here" + "Start Over", and replace them with "Dance For You" + "Schoolin' Life"??  A monumental difference.

Moving on from 4: No one who was here for 4, ST, or even Lemonade could have ever predicted an overall song quality level shift upwards to Renaissance / Cowboy Carter. Looking at CC alone, she locked in her own 11/10 Bohemian Rhapsody ("Ameriican Requiem"), Fleetwood Mac song ("Bodyguard"), Legacy Song ("16 Carriages"), Gothic Country Mystery ("Daughter"), R&B Travelling Epic ("II Hands II Heaven"), and homage to Tina Turner + James Brown ("Ya Ya"). :alexz:

4 a classic record with the most simplistic lyricism of her career. For me, it's just easy listening to the max. Apart from RTW, it's just very simple R&B with a side of sex appeal that only she can pull off. Whenever I listen to it, I always think of it as her easiest record. It's not her best at all imo.

*waits for the incoming meltdowns*

Can't believe all the nonsense I'm reading about CC in here omg.

Musically, vocally, lyrically, experimentally, production wise it is the best Bey album. The act's are on a different level and I'm so thrilled she is making her best music right now. CC is also such a complete project (though I agree she could have made it shorter, just by a bit!), it covers so many aspects of bey, it is personal af, touches on everything from her motherhood to her insecurities to her struggles with Jay and his cheating, to her evolution as an artist and person, to experimenting and pushing/challenging the boundaries of genres and more. CC has some of her absolute best melodies, vocals and lyrics too. It is an incredible project.

American Requiem is one of the best songs ever. Bodyguard is an elite driving groove. Daughter is a career highlight! Jolene cover is amazing. Tyrant is a bop to end all bops. Ya Ya needs to be converted into a serum/vaccine so I can inject it into my veins. 2 hands 2 heaven, Tyrant, Sweet/Honey/Buckin are all ******* amazing. Riverdance is incredible! Amen gives me goosebumps. I've cried multiple times to Protector - thinking about my mom. Leviis Jeans is so much fun. And I could go on!!

For me ST was always set as bey's best album, but this trilogy is already rounding out the top 3 and with time who knows if ST gets dethroned too.

This is so underappreciated and undervalued that it should be illegal.

Tbh i feel the rearranged tracklist was made by her record label in a way to capitalize the LOT vma success and her "comeback" after giving birth

i guess it also was a super early campaign for the season awards

No, it's never okay to consider any alberm of her up to 4 better than anything she did from Self Titled to now (except maybe for Everything is Lurve). The evolution from 4 to Self Titled alone is big. People have different tastes and musical preferences and that's alright but there's no denying that Cowboy Carter is a much more ambitious and mature project. I get why many people hold 4 so kindly and think it's a quintessential alberm but in many ways you still see juvenile Beyoncé there. CC is the experienced, more skilled artiste with full control showing, you may not like its genre or concept but let's be for real.

RENAISSANCE > COWBOY CARTER > BEYONCÉ > Dangerously In Love > B'Day > LEMONADE > 4 (Expanded Edition) > I AM… SASHA FIERCE (Deluxe Version)
