I'm not doom and gloom, as with Rennie the exact ish happened and then there was the tour announcement. 

 

As I apply my clown makeup, my guess is a "live" something is on the precipice of being announced and/or the...visuals .

 

I keep using Rennie (both the good and nonsense of the era) to manage my expectations. So, the main thing throwing me atm is the timeline. Rennie dropped in July and we had the tour announcement the following Jan. In between then, there were plenty of official parties, constant viral ish, hell...even Tiffany's stuff. 

 

By comparison, this era has launched way earlier (March) and with no tour announcement by May, any kind summer stadium run in US/Europe is essentially out of the question. Even with her team's questionable antics, there is no conceivable way she will simply pop back up end of this year/early next and announce a tour ala Rennie. The little buzz that is left will have totally evaporated. I don't think she is that disconnected from reality. 

 

I also keep seeing the festival theory gaining traction and it's one of the few remaining possibilities that makes sense. 

 

 

 

Whatever the case, the main thing grinding my gears is that I get the sense she/her team has cleared their success markers earlier than anticipated with the project. A "handed in my homework early and surprisingly got an A" tea. As such, any/everything else is simply a bonus. 

* #1 album with big sales

 

* 3 top ten hits (even if two of them were blink and you miss em)

 

* Lots of critical acclaim and AOTY talk

there was deafening silence for 6 months before it was confirmed she'd do a private concert for rich people followed by 5 more months of defaming silence until the tour 

 

we're just living through the next 10 months of silence until she (maybe) tours next year, nothing else will happen until then

A lot of yall admitted to not listening to cowboy carter often in the past couple weeks. What music are you replacing it with? Old faves or new songs? I'm ngl I've been becoming a Benson Boone stan whenever I go on a cowboy carter break. I needed a male singer to give me what Beyoncé can't give me. He has no skips. 

And cowboy Carter is definitely not 1 hour 18 minutes long. Idk it must be an error or something cause I listened to the album in full while frying some chicken and cooking sides. I promise it ended within 45 minutes.
