I think ur wrong on ur take with IVP. Realistically, it's quite the opposite - they see the early reception of BMS and are probably positively surprised by the reception since this is literally them doing the bare minimum atm. They know the album must be doing damage -> releasing the new IVP drop right after Renaissance and thus Bey is plastered everywhere and the collection potentially being featured in the MV for BMS/the visuals for Renaissance just makes most sense from a marketing standpoint.

Also, Adidas is currently collabing with Gucci. Maybe that drop is going better than expected, thus them deciding to launch IVP a bit later than planned.

I think Bey purposely avoided songs like Check On It after it smashed at #1 for 5 weeks unexpectedly, she did NOT want to become the "hook" girl who only recorded catchy songs because that isnt sustainable long term nor can you gain the respect she gained post IASF.

 

Deja Vu for all of the controversy (those who remember it all; petitions and etc) was an amazing lead single and risky too, and to follow that with Ring The Alarm (no one else has a song that even sounds similar imo).

 

And to end with a 10 week #1 with Irreplaceable, never count her out.

Megan Thee Stallion would absolutely demolish and update Hip Hop Star into a ******* summer SMASH with Bey on that chorus/hook with her 04 voice?

She was already pregnant by April/May 2011 (when she shot the cover art for 4 in Paris) so it's entirely possible  either way, that album really cemented her as one of the greatest vocalists of all time. No wonder it held up so well over the years.

that being said i have a strange soft spot for her IASF rejects like Stop Sign, Forever to Bleed, Waiting, New Shoes, I'm Alone Now... etc... they're not my fave type of Beyoncé song but there's something about them.
