Went to #that girl’s film and while I enjoyed it my biggest complain was the lack of transitions between each set. She cut all interludes. I really hope Bey doesn’t do the same, although it’s probably going to happen.

They’re getting cut. Documentary footage will be spliced between the sections

I feel like it be a mixture of brief interlude visuals transitioning into flashbacks or BTS footage.

it’ll be a crime to not get the interlude visuals SOMEWHERE, but as long as they’re not cut if we get a live album… she’ll be somewhat forgiven

I’ve given up on visuals and this era tbh. I’m waiting on the movie and hoping there will be something other than perfume and Ivy park in the next five years. It’s funny because I just watched a video that said this gen is very much a visual generation and love music that feels like a soundtrack to their lives. That completely encompasses the popularity of TikTok and that other girl. Bey missed out on another opportunity with the visuals. Renaissance would have benefitted the most from it earlier on. Oh well.

I really can't think of any reason as to why the visuals are being held this long. There has been so much speculation about what the visuals are actually tied to that could slow the process, but if it's not in some relation to the strike that's going, then what? There's speculation that the visuals are tied in with the film, but that also makes no sense considering the time length and the concert and documentary already being jammed in.

There's theories of their being an actual movie planned, but why not have a musical film ready to go when the album drops, since it took 4 years tied birth the final project? She was still filming scenes for the tour and visuals until August 22, why? The entire "Echo" world sounds exciting from the "DELRESTO" cover and tour footage, but why go through this early to prolong the actual visuals that explain everything?

I feel as though there was a huge film made, but maybe they had budgets issues or something and the entire project didn't come together as a finished film (but more than likely she funded the project) or. . .something. I, personally never understood tour "RENAISSANCE" without releasing the visuals, she could've brought the film to life on stage. It's giving 2013, but done sloppily. They've given too much to just disappear and keep hinting at something that her core fan base doesn't believe existence.

And if we're being honest, another if the shots from these 'visual' are cleary a bunch of reshoots. In half of the scenes side by side with the photos released, the hair is different, the makeup is different. Half of the photos she has the same Pink and Gold eye shadow. Why go through the process of retaking a hundred photos dressed as the visuals and use said visuals in the tour if they are still scheduled for release?  What the hell is going on at PK?

The 2.30hr runtime is rattling me too, because there's so much to shoehorn in.

I could have seen her cutting the interludes too until I remembered that Nadia Lee Cohen is listed as a director. Meaning either the interludes for sure are in hence why Nadia is credited or something visuals-related made the cut. A concert-doc hybrid is not her wheelhouse, so I don't think it's the show parts itself.

In any case, I'm bracing for a super tight edit of the show.  Watching the tour again on YT, I can see quite a few areas they can shave time off to apportion to the doc footage.

Like I Care and 1+1 from the ballad section axed and ish like Partition, Lift Off, and RDY gone too. Plastic is extremely non-eventful, so can go. The BVs doing Love Hangover (much as I'd love for them to get their dues on the big screen) can go as well.

There are a few long walks up the ramp to strategic cuts in songs like Cuff It (clap clap clap when she's coming down the stairs) or shortening BMS (which is kinda long) that would help too.

The more I type the more I'm kinda nervous about the format. I've seen the show in person, so am fine. But I don't want the film to be messy when she set such a high standard with Homecoming, which by comparison was a shorter live show anyway.

In a way, it almost feels neater either going for a long runtime (3 hours) and putting in the whole show and a meaty doc. OR keep it to the show (like Ms Swift) and save the doc / visual elements for streaming.

Really intrigued about what the format will be.

i also don't know what to expect on the film

i have a strong feeling she's only going to put the renaissance performances in full and cut/shorten/show clips on most of the rest of the setlist + interludes

That reminds me: wasn't it supposed to be out this last Saturday? I'd be curious to watch it!

Also, this is for the Vocal Hive

The fan edit is not that good. There are some strange angle choices and moments when they put in some GOD awful TikTok filter:mazen:

Im sorta cracking up at visuals at this point, yall are NOT going to be excited by seeing videos for songs that are two years old. :deadbanana:

Move on baby.

There is no reason why FANPAGES are doing a better job at reporting different countries showing Renaissance Film than Parkwood themselves :rip:

I REFUSE!

Sure they will not have the impact they would've had on us had they come out within 6 months of the album's release but it would still be a great experience for any fan and would definitely elevate the album in ways which we cannot imagine yet.

She WILL NOT make us live a world in which freaking superpower and sporit have music videos but Virgo's Groove doesn't. She simply can't.

IMO, the easiest means of salvaging what's left of this visual situation is to package them in this film (somehow, anyhow) and call it a day.

The more I think, milking Rennie for another "thing" on streaming etc just won't hit. These songs are almost 2 years old in an era of diminishing attention spans (which essentially makes them double that time).

I'm still Optimistic Hive, but that need not be delusional Hive. 2024 for the videos objectively makes no sense and will factually get a "meh" response from the GP and probably even the Hive.

The only way that could work in any way outside of the above is a joint movie with the videos for Act 2 (assuming it even exists :noparty:)

I would be tbh. I'm even excited about the concert movie and I've watched clips from every show, including whole concerts. :suburban:

But if we ever get the visuals I believe they would be combined with act 2 at this point.

You can lock yourselves in some mental institution and throw away the key forever if you consider yourselves to be Beyoncé fans but at the same time you hope for the erasure of gems like 1+1 and I Care.

What the **** is wrong with you? Aren't you the same mfs who feel outraged whenever the GP disrespects Beyoncé as a singer?

Just unstan already.

i don’t wanna hear anything about visuals ever again and i say this as a sucker for her visuals

just give us 3-4 good music videos and call it a day next era, no more visuals bs pls

They kinda gobbling. Hive, we gotta go HARD in the aisles. I’ll be bringing my TENS you better get LAZY.
