Glam :skull:

Literally a lot of my female friends have told me that they like her for this very reason. She's always presented herself in a very flashy, very feminine and extravagant way, be it videos, red carpet, performances etc and is never seen looking trashy and unkept like other girls.

While this was quite common way back in the day, think old Hollywood style, I cannot think of anyone else like that nowadays and it sets her apart to a point I think it's become a trademark for her style and brand as a whole.

Flamboyance and brash self confidence in her lyrics. Her stage fashion is usually a bit campy and her albums always have a concept. I think the only ones that don’t are DIL and 4, but sonically they’re still very cohesive. On stage I think these past ten years she’s very much about synchronicity, I think it started with single ladies and it’s just carried on since then and it makes her performances so stunning to watch. She can still do a mic and light type of performance and eat down but i think the synchronized tight choreo elevates her performances, watching the dubai performance everything was so stunning with the dancers and she wasn’t even moving like that, just using her voice :jonny5:

If you consider the ones most cited in media relative to her image and celebrity, it’s:

Bootylicious

Crazy in Love

Single Ladies

Halo

Run the World (Girls)

Throw in Formation and Drunk in Love (+ maybe Love on Top), if you’re feeling froggy.

EDIT: Oh wait. Thought you said songs. :skull:

B'Day doesn't have a Diane Warren-penned song, so it's automatically the better album.

Heaven is not good......AT ALL.

Horns have also been a consistent musical element since her debut "Work It Out"

I know this sounds like I'm being shady, but hear me out: the hair fan.

Bey is one of the few performers that tries to send a sensation of power through her live performances. From the lightning to the song arrangements, you can tell she plans performances not only through the perpective of the live audience, but also of someone watching on TV.

Her SB performance is pinnacle of this, from the alarm when DC come out to the ascending synth (or whatever that is) during the coach's speech. Does she need any of this? Of course not. You could give her only a mic and she'd slay a performance nonetheless. But she always gives it 110% in every aspect and it's what, imo, makes her the best performer of all time, dead or alive.

She's become a "visual artist" which should go without saying. This is why Ren having no visuals after almost 7 months feels so out of character and criminal. I'd also argue that her fans listen to her live renditions more so than other stans do when it comes to their favs. Like I know I don't even willingly listen to the studio version of Crazy In Love when the IAWT and Homecoming versions are right there on AM. Same goes for Diva and Flawless. It's no wonder Homecoming is pushin 1B streams.

she was shaking and squirting in the studio that day :jonny6:

Dubai really reminded me she doesn’t need to even do all the choreo she usually does, she just has STAGE PRESENCE, they can’t teach that. But the fact that she can dance on top of sing and command the crowd the way she does is what makes her the best performer ever

Her vocal stacks and harmonies. She literally makes songs out of nothing. You don't even realize it until you listen to the instrumentals and hear bare the song's sound with her background vocals carrying it.

This may not be "artistry" as much as "approach" but I think her desire to always top herself is a huge signature of her as an artist (at least to me, as a fan).

I was supposed to be going on a date around this time but she's at home depressed and didnt look at my messages so this kinda worked out :penguin:
