I was really feeling that song until someone said it sounds like empire music and now I can’t unhear it. It’s still super catchy but NNNN. Surprise and for the night are way better

i’ll bop to treat me on occasion but it truly was made for the soundtrack of a lee daniels fox musical drama   her last 2 singles are definitely more of what i thought she would be making as a solo artist tbh

As far as AOTY is concerned I think she's always been at a disadvantage from how broad the genre coverage of her albums have been. I think this is also why her music is a slightly harder sell than people who are a bit one dimensional. Although I'm sure stans love it I think it's jarring for most people to be sitting through a ballad one second, then a trap banger, then an alt pop song etc.

 

Rennie is her most consistent so that should help

That teaser was obviously intentionally a mind F

 

It wasn't called Club Rennaisance teaser or anything. It was a teaser for ITG (an album track??), Then has a one second clip which teasers bigger visuals. It's also a teaser without a release date unlike all her others. Y'all gotta connect the dots. It was never to be taken seriously.

coming from another thread and im feeling dread at the inevitable disaster that will be a bey biopic, it'll be as hard to make as an MJ biopic all things considered.

my lukewarm take: not everybody needs a biopic. not right now anyway.

 

how the M*donna biopic blew up is so hilarious to me. I don't want Beyoncé to waste her time and energy on a project like that while she's still here and able to sing. also there's an over saturation of biopics lately, so I'd rather her not even bring that up.

 

a Beyoncé biopic in 2083? sure, that makes sense. I most likely won't live to see it so I don't care. and whoever's gonna play her in that isn't even born yet.
