Clearly the Christmas songs are immovable right now...why would they make useless promo efforts for Cuff It at this moment? Because it’s a business that needs to turn a profit and since Adidas is a partner it needs to be worth it for them to keep the collections going… And even in that case every collection you see her less and less.

I love how confident you are in protecting the intention behind the upload of this video when the reality is - no one gives a **** about this. Like which voters sees that and would think: Im going to vote for BMS

I definitely agree that Parkwood / Columbia shouldn’t bother to do much with Cuff It until after Xmas and that some stans are scarily disconnected from the business side of pushing “Beyonce” in 2022.  
 

BUT…

 

Let’s not pretend that we don’t see very logical, well-articulated promo strategies on forums like this all the time. Hell, if not for people power, her team would be pushing Church Girl or trying to make Summer Renaissance happen.

 

I’m part of the few who maintain that, amidst the seeming chaos, there has been a push from the label especially on radio. But I feel like it’s kind of one big circle of life lol. They need “us” and we need “them” to either deploy what we want or something better.

I was silent for a good 2 weeks, and Im not crying over anything lol 
The less engaged I am in Beyonce, the more Im looking rationally at what shes doing or not doing without always defending every single move of hers. Would do you good too, boo

 

PS.: Im also saying lots of positive things about her and unlike you don't have to go for personal jabs whenever someone disagrees with me. Reflect on yourself, youre energy is easily the worst in the base.

Sure, there's gonna be some amazing videos and we'll all watch and enjoy and gag as fans, but the experience has already been tainted. The impact they will have will be minimal at this point. Look at BIK, there's arguably some of her best visuals in there. How many of you think of it as one of your fondest memories of Beyonce, one of the highlights and most notable moments of her career in the way ST and Lem were? It's not for nothing they say 'strike while the iron is hot'. This is only going to be much worse because the expectations were much higher for her first studio album in 6 years unlike the side project for the lion king. It has left a sour taste in my mouth and I'm sure I'm not alone in this; fans are gonna complain about it for the rest of her career most probably. This has been one of the most disappointing experiences as a fan of anybody in my life. 

 

I'm with you to a degree about BIK.

 

The year gap DID harm and we'll forever have to wonder what would/could have been had she dropped the visuals alongside the album. Because the music is some of her best in years, as are the visuals. Easily could have been another ST / Lemonade for her. And it seems that may have been the "plan", as we know she was trying to tour in 2020. Which still would have had her on schedule to drop Ren this year (nice two year gap, as is often the case with her releases).

 

BUT...there are a few key variables that IMO always had BIK destined to the fate it had.

 

Disney+ (which she had to drop on because of TLK tie-in) was new with literally a fraction of the audience it has now. An even then, the audience (family friendly) are not Bey's core. Her core base can be found using edgier services like Netflix, HBO etc. For as big as she is, the success of her material still is contingent on how accessible/well-aligned/widely available it is. BIK dropped on what was a niche platform at the time. I also feel like the US (her home base) wasn't quite ready to embrace Afrobeats like "that-that". Hence the asinine branding of it as "Mufasa Music" by some of her own fans. It didn't help that corners of the Afro diaspora blindly jumped on the hate train when Bey was literally championing them and their artists. I found it all so DUMB given how fans were begging for her to drop uptempos and sing, which she did. 

 

On a general tip too, even as a POC, I've seen how Bey's return to more of the "universal" music, lyrics, and image with Ren helped her commercially. I have long loved how anchored in Blackness she has been and continues to be. BUT, putting that bias aside, the proof is literally in the pudding that she belongs to the world at large and excels commercially in a more...automated manner (her promo shenanigans and all) when the music, brand, and presentation is presented as being for "all". Disclaimer: this ain't no all lives matter spiel, but more an unbiased observation. BIK could have done better, but I'd argue it almost would have needed a bigger push from her than what has become her 2010s/2020s "usual".

Just imagine it…. Grammy night. She steps on the red carpet in a stunning YSL or Balmain disco inspired look. Mane volumized to the gods, gown snatched and sparkles everywhere, a real life disco ball. 

She performs a medley at the beginning of the show (no damn preparing for her performance and missing a GF win acceptance like in 2020j starting with Cuff It all flunked up and a live band getting the audience to their feet, a quick transition with a bit of Energy then BOOM Break My Soul all glammed up, disco balls, dancers, a modern version of the “One Night Only” performance and it ends with a gospel choir. Finally she has her iconic Grammy performance for her own work. They present ROTY right after and Snatch My Soul wins. 

She wins 5 Grammys again, she gets ROTY for Break My Soul after being nominated for so long right after the performance, she wins Dance Album and Dance Recording in the pre show, then gets R&B performance for Cuff It in the middle of the ceremony and finally the long waited AOTY at the end of the night in another look. Has award speeches for Break My Soul, Cuff It and Renaissance.

Honestly who cares about the BMS video. She already did a TikTok of that months ago. Would have made sense to do that for cuff it with all the fan dances and helped the current single.  BMS isn’t winning SOTY btw. 
 

Parkwood doesn’t care about the fans. Only on album release day and ivy park. If they did we would get more than edited clips put together after 6 months.

It's true that Water's and FYWB's videos are one of her all time bests and just went unnoticed. 

 

Anyway Rennie is that album. 

I still haven’t watched Black is King  by the time it came out, I could not care any less. I believe Renaissance is a different situation though, because this is actually a big era with actual hits and a lot of people living the album. I do hope that the visuals, whenever they arrive, have an aspect to them that make them feel like something I can’t miss out on. Whether that is new songs, or something else.
 

Also I am sooo excited for Act II ever since it was speculated it’s an acoustic album!!  The way she keeps reinventing herself and will do so once again

I don't care for this era but I don't hate everything. The music is stellar, tho I've listened a bit too much to it already. Kinda played it out.
