Literally the 2nd best song on the album (behind America Has a Prophet, obviously). I guess that Tinashe'd verse was just TOO provocative for some people

 

We don’t talk about cozy into alien superstar enough. When the beat starts thumping and thinning out and then speeds up for alien 

The way BMS really sounded like one of the worst tracks on Renaissance on initial listen only to get better and better with time and sneaking its way back into Top5/Top3 on Rennie

The way Rennie's 2nd half is like a club within a club... seriously, one of the most unhinged track runs I've ever heard. She had her foot DOWN on everybody's necks

 

 

Now why does this sound like something she'd do-

 

We can stop overrating AHAP now. I know we all pretended it was the second coming of Jesus for a while because it wasn’t getting the respect it deserved, but it’s still not top 10 on the album. Still good though, like every song on the album. 

 

The unequivocal order is as follows:

2. Pure/Honey

3. Cuff It 

4. Cozy 

5. All Up In Your Mind 

6. Thique 

7. Break My Soul

8. Move 

9. Summer Renaissance 

10. Virgo’s Groove

And that’s that on that. 

 

 

 

Although AHAP just came on shuffle and I have been swiftly reminded that it is an unarguable bop. 

 

I have no idea what she’s talking about for most of it but who cares about lyrics. 

 

Virgo’s Groove is good but I feel like if it was condensed it would hit harder. 

 

 

Church Girl is the only bad song on the album. I just keep thinking about how that song fits into her discography as a whole and it’s just so out of place. It’s not going to age well at all
 

 

Anyway, Renaissance is her best album and is quite possibly my favourite album of all time at this point. I don’t think I’ve ever played an album this much in my life.
