Teams nowadays underestimate the fugacity of viral moments on social media. Look at what happened to Lorde, the day rumours started running around twitter she was trending, but the day she actually announced or the one she released- people had already moved on. Adele managed to keep the hype by announcing right after the weekend the 30 billboards went up, and the day EOM came out she did like 10 interviews and appearances (which is unthinkable of bey). 

 

They should disclose what is going on with her, bc once the hype dies down people will have moved on to the next thing.

Bey very much gives a peak Madonna tea, looking forward and not back, with reinvention being the name of the game each and every time.

 

She doesn't give the vibe of an act looking to play to nostalgia...just yet. When she does that (even a little bit), then we'll know she's winding down.

That said, she really has between today and Weds (at the absolute latest) for it not to be considered wasted hype. 

 

Unlike yesteryear, attention-spans are shorter than ever. That spike of buzz we saw over the weekend hasn't really been seen since Lemonade (or arguably Homecoming). 

 

She's "Beyonce" so will always command a certain level of attention, but that lightening in a bottle thing isn't ever-present. So hoping she manages to leverage it.

Part of me just wants her to come forward explaining how shes over being a popstar, how she consciously tries to avoid stress and loves being a mother and that she doesnt intend to record any music anymore.

This would give me closure

I've been optimistic since she didn't perform a new single at the Super Bowl in 2013...

Maybe we didn’t get anything over the weekend because Parkwood will release a press statement about the single & album release like Matthew did with the I Am Sasha Fierce era. And the press statement will come during the week. Idk. Wishful thinking.
