This, and even in the US it's much bigger. I just wish she would've put out a video the week I went #1. Regardless it's much bigger here and internationally.

One was just performed at Superbowl whereas the other one went #1 in the most organic way possible. 

 

It's not even nearly comparable 

Formation was bigger than the charts suggested due to the sabotogé, but overall there was a lot going on then. It was a big year for music (Anti, Views, 21, This Is Acting etc). BMS came out during a pretty lackluster time period, musically. It helped make it stand out all the more. Lemonade wasn’t as accessible and doesn’t have the longevity (Im hoping) that Renaissance will have. Ren won’t outsell it tho. 

Yeah I think in general people are more drawn to Renaissance it’s just more accessible not only musically but also in its availability. But Lemonade is a masterpiece. I think I love Renaissance more and see myself listening to it more than Lemonade in the future. I gotta be in the mood for Lem. 
 

Formation is forever one my favorites though.

Catching up on this thread and I honestly understand some of the Hive's frustration with Bey's promo or lack there of in recent years. As someone who remembers her Destiny's Child eras all the way up to her Sasha Fierce era, it's like night and day the way she communicates with fans and promotes. It's almost ghost-like now lol. 

 

I think after she became a Mom and facing backlash about her pregnancy and Blue, she put her walls up. She has always been very coy about her private life but she was still very personable and relatable enough. Like I said, I really think the backlash she received in the early 2010s made her guard up for good. 

 

Imagine if Bey did an Instagram Livestream? Just taking fan questions and laughing with the fans? Instagram would collapse. But she's not at that place anymore and I've accepted it. I'm glad she still has it and continues to deliver us great albums.

Backlash?!? You mean the bullying and attacks she got while being pregnant, and after giving birth. The same bullying, and attacks her daughter(who was just a toddler at the time) got for her hair. After all that unwarranted  mess, I don't blame Bey for wanting to protect her family and peace of mind. I'm glad accessibility to her became limited. 

instead of having all these dramatic meltdowns, redirect energy to streaming the album.
