2012 Makes the Woman with Born to Die v. Red v. Unapologetic v. Visions v. something else would be nice

not that many main pop girls released that year but I'd like to do something with BTD and Red

I was thinking maybe cut Red down to just the regular version, ending at Begin Again, to make all albums a similar length. That's only 16 songs and a lot of them are extremely strong tracks, there's very little filler there, as with most of Taylor's better albums.

I know you don't want to hear this, @greento, but realistically it would probably be either Fiona or Jessie's debut album? Or Solange's EP!

Replacing what? Or just as the something else?

I was gonna include Fiona in the list but didn't think it would fit.

I could have sworn we rated almost all of those albums already but we don't have the original first post to relay :lmao:

Fiona, Grimes and Jessie were def. in This Was 2012 and the others maybe the Pop version?

Not that we CAN'T rate them again since essentially everything is deleted.

Yes, those three were in your TW2012, alongside Dirty Projectors and Frank?

Chloe! Yes, @MP2K! Or Kehlani!

Actually, I've decided to just cap it at the three (FLO, TYLA, Rayvn). Keep it real light, real cute, real sweet.

I like the other two albums but yeah… 9 songs from Bird's Eye and Water is the ideal top 10.

It was good for the month it came out… but I'd be lying if I said it was in my rotation these days

:suburban:

I also thought the Flo album was good, gave it a second spin, and then never thought about it ever again :suburban:

I literally remembered it exists three days ago, played it thru and it's still good, in my bag will compete hard with or without glorilla wheezing all over it

Out of curiosity I went on OldTRL to see who we actually did Classics rates for

Me and enxe really blazed a trail over there. These events.

Not Paul. :rip:

Whatever happened to that Paul stan? I remember getting into a fight with her in an OldTRL rate, something about Prince v MJ of all things. And I was even more insufferable back then than I am now, so it was definitely my fault too.

That could have potentially been in my '87 rate (Dangerous vs. Diamonds and Pearls vs. Listen Without Prejudice when...)

I was looking through the thread the other day and they gave most of SOTT 0s and 1s :rip:

these are great songlists but it's sending me that ATRL actually did a solo macca rate and everyone had to score mull of kintyre, this is very steve hoffman forums territory (i would 100% have been in this rate)

There were definitely more than that. I remember Donna Summer and Cher explicitly. There was a Prince rate that had so many songs I couldn’t finish.

I doubt it was your fault.

The way I lowkey only know about 8 Cher songs. Oh, she needs a Classics rate for sure and I need to repent.

Saves you having to sit through a whole album too. You just get the hits.
