Caution should've been Moo's Confessions II moment. Her "return to form" or "still got it" release (even tho I do ride for Memoirs and Elusive Chanteuse a bit). A celebratory triumph. Instead we got a hype-less campaign, with negative budget, lead by the worst song on the record. Colossal misfire of an era, even Glitter made more waves in 2018.

It really didn't. I actually dislike it more now than on release. For all of its many, many (many) flaws, **** like Rainbow at least has those two or three songs that you'd hit "like" on. That last album had nothing worth returning to. Biggest fall off in pop girl history. …Not really, but it's still a monumental decline.

Mariah erased all her goodwill with me by releasing that awful last album. Janet wisely retired to avoid meeting the same fate.
