Yeah, I definitely understand the notion of not repeating ourselves endlessly... but some of these rates really are 10+ years ago. And a lot of them us regular users can't even view.

Off the Wall kind of the biggest/most acclaimed probably, MJ might have to be there I fear

Cheryl Lynn had another album in 1979 though but... No GTBR, no audience

Like I say, if we wanted just the divas, Cher (who had 2 disco albums in 1979! But TMH is the logical choice of the 2)/Diana/Donna, and then maybe Phyllis/Patrice as well for the niche picks would be fun

If going for big, male-lead, memorable disco hits of 1979, might I suggest Earth, Wind and Fire?

 

Boogie Wonderland kind of ends the other man's discography as is, I fear.

Realistically there's probably enough material for a two-parter. Classic after classic after classic in 1979.
