The London show was even better

Not Jacob Collier propaganda on ATRL and Tori's voice is nothing special.

Everything about this video was grating. Her tone is not pleasant. The video gives—AI generator. There's not one attractive person in the choir. Just burn everything. Burn EVERYTHING. Burn the Bridge. Throw gasoline on the H₂O and BURN the Water, too.

I came for Whitney, objectively the greatest voice ever heard on this planet.

Voices aren't objective. Depends on whether you rate pure power, musicality, agility, or tonal dynamics and variation, etc higher. But she, Mariah, and Aretha were definitely on a different tier as far as popular music vocalists go

Well yes, thats exactly my point! Whitney had it all.

This is just a Julie Andrews impression that isn't as good? bird

I challenge all the singers mentioned above to sing this song without their voice blowing up

Completely unrelated but I wish she'd go back to a curly style like this. I know the long straight look is more iconic and more associated with her now and she looks great but she looks sooooo stunning with the curls.

I'm going to save you the literal 15 page paper I wrote about Julie Andrews' performance in The Sound of Music to finish up my theater degree and just say this:

This is absolutely not in any way an emulation of Julie's voice or performance. It's a totally different vocal style and sound. And it's very good. She smartly didn't try to recreate Julie's performance which is where a lot of people fail when doing songs from this show.

When I directed a production of Sound of Music earlier this year, I fully banned the actress playing Maria from listening to or rewatching the film specifically to keep her from putting on a Julie impersonation.

Gaga absolutely did not do anything with this performance akin to how Julie performed it.
