the only true essential Bey albums i feel are Bday, IA...SF (it had a lot of big singles despite being a hated album) and self-titled

B'Day and Cowboy Carter

I'd replace self titled (even though it's great, I don't think it's an essential album) with B'Day, which is her best album imo. The rest are great selections.

Cowboy Carter is not only her first AOTY, it's such an impactful album that it still gets discussed in the country industry today.

Beyoncé started releasing good albums with 4. The run through Renaissance was incredible but Cowboy Carter highkey sucks.

Out of her not included albums it's obviously B'Day

The masses has spoken and it's B'Day

I'd swap DIL with B'Day honestly for a top 5, though if they had to have one of Bey's two "massive singles" albums here, I suppose DIL over IASF is better.
