PS: The only difference with her flopping now and Katy is that, Charli is just doing whatever the **** she wants and this new music isn't mainstream, while Katy keeps trying like crazy to be relevant again while failing miserably with every single attempt (just saying haha).

Nothing went wrong in my opinion. Brat was very much in the mainstream as a lightning bolt that struck pop culture and its impact is seen in fashion and style all around the world, but it wasn't a blockbuster album in terms of numbers (NOTHING wrong with that). Charli is still somewhat of a niche pop star. And tbh, I love that. She was always "ours", ever since the early 2010s, she was the Cool Girl ™️ my friends and I would look to for a pulse check on the Zeitgeist and sit in our apartments and smoke Marlboros and would think we're as cool as she is because we "found her" relatively early on and stayed with her throughout the years ... Even tho we no longer smoke the Marlboros and in general aren't living the life style she promotes anymore...

But yeah TLDR: Charli will always be culturally mega relevant, even if it doesn't reflect in her numbers.
