This title is misleading. It was always promoted as a temporary logo to align with their Spotify 20 campaign.

It just goes to show how performative the constant whining about minimalism and how it ruined everything and how much better everything was back in 1980 or something really is. This isn't even THAT much of a drastic change and people still lost it when they saw a shiny disco ball.

Some people do too much. It's a cute concept with cheap execution. Nothing offensive.

There's no way it was a permanent change lol.

The icon was HORRID. It was meant to be seen on phone screens, you just cannot have that much detail on something that will be displayed in such small size. Those three lines are also way too flat looking, it's like they're slapped onto the disco ball instead of being holes, which makes the whole thing feel disjointed. And don't get me started on those Canva looking sparkles… a graphic design disaster
