Are you on peptides?

Featured Replies

if so pleas discuss your experience and journey ,

injectable peptides , are a bit of a controversial topic i Feel like ( pleas do not use this Thread to discuss where to buy them , i don't think that'd be allowed ) … there has been a resurgence in them lately due to the rise of looksmaxxing cracking into the Mainstream conversation , however they Have been around for years before that .

i am on Retatrutide , i lost 50kg on mounjaro in 7 months then was maintaining , but with the price increases in UK ( just die already trump ) im just couldn't afford £150-250 a month . Reta has allowed me to stay on my path which im very happy with and has even allowed me to lose a further 5kg in the month ive been on it thing

i started GHK-CU last week and MT2 , im noticing a huge difference in my tan already due to MT2 although ive read some scary things in terms of side effects , so i will likely be coming off this . with the GHK-CU i have read not to expect results until the 2nd month of cycling however even a week later i have noticed a huge difference in the way that my skin feels , it feels like ive done a whole evening of face masks and robust skin care deadbanana

No and I don't think I ever will, but to each their own. It's none of my business if people want to use injectable peptides or looksmaxx but it just isn't for me. I'm happy to eat healthy and exercise

Aren't we all? We consume pesticides.

Edit: wait nvm. At best i have a peptide lip balm i think

no, I'd never inject stuff like those into my body, do we even know long term effects? I eat healthy and work out 6 times a week

nope which is what people should be clear on and is Where the controversy part of it comes in . it's something that you have to go into knowing the full risks ( or knowing there could be risks that are not yet known ) . i personally didn't mind going onto Reta because there are clinical trials published and it is looking at getting approved for wide-scale release by Eli Lilly ( might already be approved in US , not sure , im talking from UK ) . and as i said , id already been on mounjaro for a long time beforehand .

I have a friend of mine on reta but only for a month so far. I don't really know enough about it to ever go down that route, plus all the influencers pushing this are getting paid to do so and are all on test/other forms of steroids so I don't really trust it.

I personally won't go down any unnatural path until I feel like I've physically peaked or weakened, and wanna keep up. But I don't see that happening until I'm in my 30s-40s so not too rushed.

the influencers peddling them is the Scary part for me . luckily that wasn't how i got into them , if my introduction to them would've been through influencers then I would've probably been very stupid with them , Because these influencers will have you believing you have to be on like 10 different ones from the beginning , which is insane . like you , I had a friend who had been on them for 3 months and so i Learnt everything from them and saw their journey first-hand which put me at ease ..

in terms of the steroids .. hell Nahhhh . that's a whole other rabbithole im staying far away from . you'll never catch me on the workout enhancing ones ever . Im here to have a good time not develop pea-size testicles thing

I remember one "influencer" who kept popping up on my feed that got huge on roids (and aged 15+ years) and then I didn't see him for months until he came up again but this time super lean and way younger looking. He said he was taking Reta but this was like 2 years ago so before peptides were ever pushed, I just thought it was a type of steroid tbh. My friend is also gonna tell me his results. Does it just make you skinnier? This one influencer swears by reta and has a great physique, very lean but still shredded, but I just don't get how an appetite suppressant wouldn't also make you lose muscle mass. Ghu-ck sounds interesting though but idk anyone on that.

Maybe you can be the case study for ATRL's gym bros

No and I don't think I ever will, but to each their own. It's none of my business if people want to use injectable peptides or looksmaxx but it just isn't for me. I'm happy to eat healthy and exercise under my current routine and I keep to a fairly simple skincare routine, but it works for me right now and I don't have any concerns. And I think I'm okay with looking the way I look just now, so I don't really have much need for them.

Reta is interesting , because my friend who started on it 3 months prior to me was hitting the gym too . so the effect it had on him was very noticeable , he got leaner while also building a lot of muscle mass at the same time . from what i understand , the advantage Reta has over Mounjaro is that Reta allows for ease of continuing to build muscle mass while losing fat , whereas Mounjaro would eat away at your muscle mass as you lost weight . ( i lost every ounce of muscle i had on Mounjaro .. ) that's how i understand it anyway . i personally do not work out at all bc im Lazy so im just on Reta for the appetite suppression aspect and cost benefits compared to mounjaro tbh toofunny3

Well, yes!

I'm on a medication and I gained almost 40lbs in a few months. So my dr wanted to put me on a glp-1 but my insurance won't cover it….. so took matters into my own hands and now I'm on my own special cocktail and loving it
