I genuinely hope this will be their sound from now on. It's distinctive and not as bland as the American urban influence that polluted K-Pop during the past few years. Also, hope they'll keep the lyrics clean. "Shaking ass in the parking lot" is the limit they should not cross tbh. Gnarly's "clean version" is infinitely better than the one that got the MV due to not being so unnecessary vulgar imo.

KPop has always been influenced and copied Black aesthetics and sound since it's inception. SM Demos are songs made by and usually sung by Black people. Something you should know as a SNSD Stan. You think you ate with this slick racist **** and your taste is absolute trash on a consistent basis. There has never been a moment in KPop where it wasn't extremely "urban influenced" you slow mf. You're generalizing way too much. K-Pop is part of a national project related to export.
It used to target Japan during its early days (sounding like J-Pop) and then gradually expanded towards a global audience, englobing a variety of genres.

Over the past 5 years tho, urban music -which is very popular in the USA- particularly influenced the South Korean music industry.
Maybe, considering the current political climate, things might change and Europe might play a bigger role into what kind of sound K-Pop related groups will have in the upcoming years.

Also, since you so kindly decided to call me "racist", I believe it its nice to point that as someone who particularly appreciates dance music, I love many black artists and will forever be grateful for the art they brought and bring to the dancefloor.

The earliest of KPop is literally R&B and hip-hop. Japan in the 90s heavily pulled from Black culture and aesthetics as well. The whole group system was pulled from Motown. The SM executive literally said he was inspired by how groups were formed and managed in Motown. Photocards even came from this era. Both countries were heavily pulling from Black sounds and aesthetics during this era. So LIE. Try again.

I perfectly know that the group system derives from Motown's Jackson 5, which represent the first example of a true boyband and has incredible music.

The model was then exported to Puerto Rico with Menudo and refined by New Kids on the Block in the USA.

In the 90s the west had boybands like the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and so on. Japan had other examples like V6 and Arashi.

Since, according to your avatar, you enjoy Namie Amuro's music you might/should remember that in the 90s Japan was heavy on euro dance and euro beat too.

So please, don't generalize. While there were artists who were influenced by R&B at the time, many were actually crafting dance tunes.

Since you wrote that again about my persona, I'm an individual who had the luck to travel, live abroad and learn about multiple cultures.
I cherish diversity the fact that I was able to learn and grow thanks to it.

I specifically said I enjoy Jackson 5, that they are the first boyband and that I like many dance (also Disco) artists. My comment was never again the black community so stop acting like this and grow up.
