Yes, i think they were getting along during the recording process of WTTDH, but you can see a shift after may. They had a cute little moment in may 2008 during Wango Tango, but as soon as Aubrey went to Brodway, meaning she would miss gigs they booked as DK during the summer, as well as the World premiere of 'Bad Girl' on MTV's ''FNTV'', Drea was pissed that fans would pay tickets to see the 5 of them and one was missing cause she was doing her own thing outside the group. Her dating their manager, posing with tons of magazine covers etc really felt like she was a solo artist already and coming back to DK whenever she wanted, got her check and peaced out. Which is pretty frustrating to see someone missing her shift and still getting paid etc. That's why Aubrey pisses me off when she says she's the member that rides for DK the most. You only started to be on every iteration of DK when your attempt at a solo music career failed. That's the mistake that a lot of girlgroup members do. Some think they are bigger than their group, start a solo career and fail. Then they go back to the group and start acting up like they were not the reason why the group failed in the first place. There's a reason why Aubrey released so little music throughout the years, cause she knows it won't sell and it's not worth spending money on, when she can earn easy money posing naked, doing OnlyFans or doing reality shows. But i don't see how that works out for her. All her photos are heavily edited, so i don't see the appeal on paying for some AI pics of her and reality shows are not booking her anymore. She was supposed to book some reality show last year and said they replaced her cause she was not relevant anymore and went with a younger cast. And now she burned all bridges with her bandmates and the only one she's okay with, is now retired.

Yeah i remember D***y asking Dawn if she reached out to the other girls and she said the most unconvincing yes, then asked Aundrea and basically said she didn't bother cause if they wanted to be there they would, which was a pretty stupid answer considering they got fired by D***y on national television. I think she really thought that DK would continue with her, Dawn and Shannon and did not expect Shannon to leave. I remember in that infamous episode where he fired Aubrey and D, D***y asking her basically: "You're staying in the group right, of course you are since i let go of the two problems'' and she just started smirking and saying ''no no no'' or whatever. But her intention really was to get Aubrey in trouble by sending D***y a letter complaining that Aubrey was missing gigs and therefore, she did not see any reason to continue with the group if it was not the five of them...but was pretty excited to resume with DK during the last season with Aubrey and D. Her crying when she got exposed in front of cameras for sending a private email to threaten to leave because of Aubrey but then started to smirk when she got what she wanted... What i still don't understand is why Shannon appeared on two club shows with Aundrea and Dawn after Aubrey and D got fired, but couldn't continue working with them on that last season of MTB to possibly record another album, but was willing to appear on the season finale.

Well basically Aubrey was left out of the group after they finished their 'Untold Chapter Tour'. She was trying to book gigs for DK in the future, one being a L.A block party show last june, but D.Woods took over with her manager Letroy and her sister Shanell as a choreographer, and for whatever reason did not include Aubrey in the equation. Aundrea is just doing whatever D.Woods is probably telling her to do against a check. So they are now performing as two. Aubrey has the passwords of all the DK social media and has been reposting her own social media under the group page, as well as clips praising the trio she formed with Shannon and Dawn in 2014. D.Woods and Drea are promoting under the page 20yearsofDanityKane, posting about all the girls on the page but also saying in a recent interview, in particular D.Woods that she does not want to perform with some of the other girls.

I forgot about their long messy unwanted break after the Xtina tour and "Ride For You". They were left with no manager, no bookings, rumors of members leaving DK, no money. Shannon having to leave with her friends or whatever. So yeah, she may have been scared of reliving that after Aubrey and D were fired. And that last season of "Making The Band" was so messy, he gaslighted Aundrea and Dawn for not bringing the other girls back, when he was the reason for firing them in the first place for stupid selfish reasons, cause he couldn't handle someone calling him out. The reason for firing D.Woods was even more stupid, he couldn't keep his emotions in check so he basically concluded that she was guilty by association. He should have been the one apologising to D.Woods to bring her back. I heard i think by Aubrey that he tried to contact Shannon and told her that he was going to make her the new "Aubrey" (as if "Shannon" herself wasn't enough, which is pretty insulting and a stupid thing to say to someone after you fired the Aubrey you're trying to create with Shannon) but she said no and that basically sealed the deal on a possible DK3 album.

I always thought about the idea of the last 3 deciding to quit at the same time as Aubrey and D.Woods were fired, so they could go further with another record label, but that would also mean saying goodbye to "Making The Band", which was a big part of their exposure and success, since D***y was an executive producer on the show. And we even see it today and i believe Aubrey touched on the subject but "Making The Band" is the only MTV show that is not on rerun or any streaming services cause of Diddy. So he still holds some kind of power over them and the show that helped their career. And i really couldn't see any record label signing them. I mean they struggled to get signed with that DK4 reunion in 2013 even with Johnny Wright as a manager and pretty good numbers for their L.A shows at the "House Of Blues". Shannon was probably scared to either flop and be stucked on an awful recording deal with Diddy, cause that's what happened for any artist signed to "Bad Boy" underperforming, we saw it with Donnie, with Babs from Da Band etc....

Yeah it could be a reason why she didn't come back too, she seemed pretty frustrated with D***y. Clearly he reacted in the heat of his own emotions, he didn't like Aubrey talking back to her and calling him out on his inconsistencies and he lashed out his anger on D.Woods too, even if he tried to backtrack during the 2008 live finale, D either was hurt or just saw this as an opportunity to leave DK and not be blamed for leaving.

I agree, i don't think they were as close as Aubrey was with D.Woods but i think Shannon was well aware than Aubrey was the most popular one of the group and not having her there anymore would have been a huge struggle for the group. And same goes to Dawn, i think the both of them are really needed in the group. Dawn is like the perfect package of voice, creativity, and dance and Aubrey is like the sexy, visual, popular one.

I feel like she didn't believe in this iteration of DK without Aubrey, cause she was the most talked about back then, but she was ok when D wasn't there 4 years later. She could have at least tried. They could have recorded their third album like Day 26 was recording their second album and do like in 2008 and release their albums back to back, they would have had an easy #1 even if their sales would have been most likely down compared to their first two albums. And Dirty Money didn't release their album until december 2010, so it would have been more than enough time to do one more era.
