I really think some drama went down between her and management, so they strong armed her out of LATAM + this release as a power move. I think it was initially just supposed to be a hiatus, but the public support for her + her throwing subs at the label & Missy may have thrown her return up in the air.

I hope she rejoins though. It seems like the girls want the group to be 6, but can't say anything outright bc of the label.

But practically speaking, did they re-shoot group scenes for the MV and re-record her parts for the track?
Cause if until late February she was included, things were most likely wrapped. Time-wise it must have been a nightmare to manage saving the comeback, while also facing a giant leak, to be honest.

I stil believe they only filmed the video right after the hiatus announcement

and they prob all record the tracks and then just pick which parts each get so they can easily make diff versions

I think we're heading into the unknown success-wise given what's going on. Sound-wise tho, Pinky Up sounds genuinely iconic and unique in nowadays landscape. I hope they keep the same vibe for its follow up rather than releasing something generic and beige like Gabriela.

Not impossible for the video, but risky in terms of scheduling given how little they would have had before the release. Track-wise tho, that's definitely plausible and probably how they handled the replacement of her vocals.

While not as digestible, Gnarly and Internet Girl share a direction and a vision. Gameboy and Gabriela (this one in particular) are so beige they hurt, basically anyone could have sung them imo. Pinky Up feels like a poppier and slightly more mainstream (in a good way) take on what they previously did with Gnarly.
Also, Eurodance is genuinely coming back as a genre and it would make sense to follow that and build a sound for the group.

I think it wouldn't be tricky in terms of the video either cuz it was just the same thing minus 1 girl with some relatively easy alterations (one of the other girls doing her solo scenes and slight choreo adjustment)

I don't think she ever got to shoot anything for the actual music video at all, she just rehearsed with them

they still had plenty of time for filming + post production since the hiatus announcement as well imo

It's time to stop with the baseless speculation and let the past be the past until both parties decide to discuss it.

Weren't there cases in the past where one of the members wouldn't show up in a video, performance, interview, etc? Why is it such a big deal this time? Maybe Manon really is on an extended hiatus and will be back at some point but they won't confirm it to keep the publicity and speculation going. Or is that wishful thinking?

Honestly, I don't care that much as long as she eventually comes back to the group. The main issue is all the speculation around why she was put on hiatus in the first place, most people seem to think it was the company's decision, and naturally people want answers.

I don't think the girls have any real say in what's going on, and it's pretty obvious they're not in a position to speak about it openly either. What is clear is that they'd rather be a six-piece, so dragging the other members or even their families over this just makes no sense.
