I never denied Taylor is chart obsessed. She is, and i love her for that. I was just pointing out Billie was too.

that comparing what is, essentially, Billies 4th biggest hit ever to Taylor's 12th is not the flex you think it is. Not to mention Billie being on her 3rd album and Taylor being on her 12th. Longevity is always harder to attain than ingenuity.

Yes? What are you trying to say? lmao. Billie has released 14 singles in the 2020s. She is a white hot, young artist. Only having three singles this decade perform better than Taylor's second Showgirl single (12th studio album, released 20 years after debut) is exactly what I'm pointing out.

No one is denying that Wildflower is going to be a more consumed song than Opalite. I'm saying the comparison is weird in the first place. Wildflower is among Billie's 5 best performing songs ever (obviously given the release timeline). Opalite is not even in Taylor's top 10.

Some songs are bigger hits than others! But the implication here is that Opalite is not a hit or that failing to outstream Wildflower yesterday indicates a lack of organic interest which is ridiculous and would bite so many users having a circlejerk over this thread in the ass. Again, Billie Eilish, the most successful new pop girl, has a grand total of 3 singles in five years that have outperformed it. Neither of her lead singles this decade managed to do so. On Olivia's latest album, only Vampire did so. For solo singles from Gaga and Beyonce, Opalite is blowing their leads out of the water. There's no gotcha here. The comparison is just silly.

This is a dumb ass post. Billie hardly even has 12 singles you can't simultaneously say Taylor has more singles then criticize Billie for having less albums. Is it crack?

Saying Taylor's 12th biggest single in the same sentence as Taylor having way more albums negates the entire argument. I don't disagree that most artists decline as they progress in their career, but you can't argue both of those at once

Not necessarily; most people curate their own playlists on streaming services. Radio might introduce them to popular songs, but music consumption right now is driven by playlists on streaming services. In fact, most people go to New Music Friday or any other playlists as their main source for new music, so, although I get where you're coming from, radio is not the main metric for music consumption, and certainly, not for the general public entirely.
