I'm introverted/reserved/chill/shy/all the things…but even I am very CHATTY around people I'm comfortable with, so I'm not sure what to make of his lack of communication skull. He seems like a nice guy though, and I think that's worth holding onto. Try communicating your concerns more and also just giving him more time since this is still a new "relationship."

Its good that youre aware of how things already feel off. if you ignore it and stick with it, it could become a foundational mismatch underneath a longterm relationship and lead to resentment. I think you should ask yourself if you'd be happy with things as they are now for the foreseeable future, and if the answer is no, then maybe its not worth staying in the relationship

If he isn't making an effort to meet a need that you've named, that's not a great sign. It's fine to be different, but in 'opposites attract' relationships both partners have to make an effort to meet each other in the middle.

My ex boyfriend was kinda like that too, I'm very talkative with people I feel comfortable with and can spend hours just chatting with my best friends and it kinda hurt/annoyed me that I couldn't have that with him. It was a topic of discussion many times and at some point he started putting effort into it, then I realized it simply did not come naturally to him. It was fine, I appreciated his effort but eventually I broke up with him because I felt like we didn't have #that type of chemistry I needed (and that I found in a guy I can't have sadly). You should talk it out, things that bother you don't just go away, if anything at the beginning you're supposed to get to know each other somehow so it's better to make sure you're on the same page.

sh*t I'm sorry my darling I ended up doing more ubereats all day I'll try to read it now tornado

alright, okay. I've read it celestial5

so uh

I'm very expressive personally, and I've dated both men and women who are more mellow. it doesn't usually fully work out because there's a lot of jealousy with people I've dated. my last ex boyfriend (which was almost 3 years ago now lol) was almost as expressive as I am but he was also just mean and super controlling. hmm. personally I do fw parallel play and comfortable silence, but the whole him seeming "unnatural" when asking questions is typically a big no from me. it signals that in the future I might find this person to be boring dies so I'll say no, wouldn't be compatible with this dude. I usually need someone either exactly as ambiverted as I am (I also believe that almost every human on earth is actually an ambivert with varying levels of activation and that true introverts and true extroverts are all super rare. I only know two people who I'd consider to be true introverts: my mom and my friend Eric. everyone else, even the quieter ones, it's like nah girl. I see right through you. you have social anxiety which makes you quaint ad cutesy, sure, but you have an internal NEED, a CRAVING for lots of extroverted attention) or only slightly different on the scale than I am. my longest relationship (ex bf, dated him from March-ish 2015 to February 2017 I think?) was that latter kind of ambivert where he was cutesily quaint about his shyness but he also had "straight-passing" "bro-ey" douchebag privilege. ugh don't even get me started. anyway, yeah. incompatible for me giraffe

i was very non-social and very cold/sad/down before my doctor put me on vyvanse.

Communication is the key here, sit with him and talk about this, if this is a fundamental thing for you and he doesn't change that or try to meet you halfway then don't bother continuing the interaction because you won't feel satisfied and right now it's the best time to work on this since you're not officially dating.

He's entering his

era.

From what you've shared, seems like you just both need to know each other more, and explore new things together.

All the best and I hope you both have fun in the process. heart2

seems typical early dating thing, so i think yes you're just bored.

he sounds fine and attentive, i don't really get why you're rushing to 'get to know him' by talking because if you end-up in a long-term relationship there will be plenty of time for that later... he's also communicating interest in other ways, for example the gifts or the time he wants to spend with you.

that said, if it really bothers you that much this early on then yes drop him, your post just made me wonder whether this is an actual deal-breaker or if you're just expecting your bf to be a 'perfect' match (which does not exist and even the best person will have flaws and annoying things about them)
