Queen, Abba, Diana Ross, Bjork, Lana. Tupac...

Even Bob Marley didn't receive one until he passed away, and Abba (despite being one of the biggest and most celebrated bands in the word) didn't even get a nomination until 2022.

The irony in telling us some artists are "irrelevant" and "forgotten", despite their second fb repeatedly talking about them day in, day out is a kii. especially when they completed an 80 date successful tour and are now on the brink of releasing their 15th long awaited studio album 40+ years after their debut. Legendary acts that can still managedto get their songs attached to big budget movies almost 4 decades after they become a hit proves they aren't "forgotten", but very much remembered, others that stopped getting solo hits almost 2 decades ago aren't so fortunate. Longevity speaks volumes. "Artists" shoehorning themselves into everything long after their prime does not make them relevant, it only makes them desperate and embarrassing.
