Apple Music doesn't support oEmbed, which is how Spotify links render and is a protocol Invision (the forum software) supports.
A custom solution would need to be developed.

Apple Music has an embed feature with their Apple marketing tools lookup though can't it be used?

iFramely is pretty good for it too since their embedding is just iframes

I don't think ATRL will pay for iFramely. And I don't think ATRL will enable HTML in the post editors either. That's seen as a pretty big security vulnerability.

Pretty sure iframely will support the oembed standards too

Just seems odd that we can only support YouTube/spotify when a lot of the time international catalogs differ between the streaming services

I'm not arguing that iFramely wouldn't. I'm saying that iFramely is a paid service API, and I don't think ATRL will pay to use it given Rian's recent posts about people asking to limit ads further. I read a few pages on the API documentation and there are ways to avoid making API calls, but it still requires a technical dev lift to set that up.

A lot of songs don't come out on YouTube until later or just aren't released there, especially foreign markets

I think I'll just have to find the original photo and see if I can upscale it or something and then save it as a gif. I have some from my mirrorless that are like 40px so if those aren't enough to make it not ghetto and blurry then I don't know
