I mean, she has already done a lot the entire year, she can't overdo it or it might come across as a bit desperate. She also still has her collaborators (like Cirkut, who is nominated for Producer) campaigning for her and Mayhem related stuff might still be released in the days to come.

She has a lot of support from the Pop bloc already. This otoh, would serve two-fold purpose. It will boost her Trad Pop chances while also trying to consolidate the Jazz bloc voters (second biggest branch) needed for AOTY. She knows what she's doing. Let her cook.

Literally everyone is saying she's extremely overdue for a GF Grammy win.

This guy is saying she should totally sweep everything.

No lies were told. It's outrageous she's never won in the big 4 categories but that's definitely gonna change this time. AOTY is far from certain but we have a good shot at sweeping a lot of the others because her competition isn't as strong as past years.

I think she feels satisfied enough with everything she has achieved.

She's one of just 6 female artists to gross $1B with no tour exceed $300M while other pop stars have at least 1-2 tours that exceeded that mark. She's clearly playing the long game, prioritizing longevity and consistency. I also think her team wasn't fully prepared for the demand after the Chromatica Ball, which had only so-so numbers for full stadium tour

The fact that the rules for Best New Artist got changed specifically because Gaga was excluded the year prior

Was just randomly reminded of Jon Caramanica (New York Times) and how much of a doucebag he is.

He omitted Gaga from his best of 2025 albums and songs lists completely even though his partner included both Mayhem and Abracadabra in her lists. He was also the same one that gave Joanne a scathing review in 2016, and going even further back wrote a scathing piece about Gaga in July 2010. Pretty much the entire article drags Gaga and her influence on female pop music. He's been an OGH since the start. He seems to hate her no matter what she does.

He must hate that she's still successful (both critically and commercially) after almost 20 years. Sounds like a miserable existence to me

Also it's interesting that Prince, Madonna, Eminem, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Ariana Grande, and Britney Spears (just to name a few) have never won a GF Grammy yet you never really hear that brought up on this website

I was digging even further to try and find him saying something positive about her and found another article of his about her from May 2009 and he called The Fame "intermittently engaging" and attacked her once again for the entire article.

I was then recommended a NYT TikTok video with him in it where he praises Taylor Swift for being able to take selfies on any kind of cell phone back in 2008, and that he knew she would last because she understood how things worked and understood stardom.

The Hagglequin show was widely praised by critics and fans in-attendance alike so I'm perched. Happy Mistake and Hagglequin deserved better

it's apparently much closer in tone to her pop show theatrics than her usual jazz and piano stuff, so I feel like even if you don't care for that album, you may still like the show, at least visually.

It's just frustrating that he's been an OGH since the start. Writing negative articles and reviews about her since 2009 and of course happens to work for New York Times which is a major publication and is located in her hometown

Apparently he hosts a pop music podcast for NYT as well. I wonder what he says about Gaga on that. Probably nothing positive since all of his articles and reviews of her are negative. How irritating
