Gaga is really a master of homages. In Born This Way it's so clear in its sound and melody and even the particular vocal style chosen for it that The Edge of Glory is a Springsteen-inspired tune, especially the chorus. And you can also hear Whitney in Marry The Night's hook.

Gaga has always been good at paying tribute to artists through covers but also her own original songs. It's part of the reason why she's so beloved in the industry because she not only always gives back but makes sure to note in her music and interviews how she's here because others have opened the door for her. I love that about her.

do they have to be "asked" though? they already did partnerships with Netlifx (TUDUM & Wednesday) and multiple sports networks this year (Garden of Eden commercial & Abracadabra played at the Super Bowl). seems like the obvious move would be to negotiate a christmas halftime show as part of those deals.
