GOE should've been MAYHEM's lead. It obviously would've smashed with the potential to have staying power. That 00s sound is trending rn & GOE is pure ear candy. Still love Disease (and I'm not mad with it being the lead at all) but like even if we hadn't heard Dismash prior to the album release & THAT was track 1… immediate collapse

I don't think this is a drag tbh. Less tracks and no DWAS on The Romantic, but was on Mayhem during its absolute peak.

obviously Mayhem had major major advantage with more tracks and DWAS being on it. I'm actually shocked bruno did this much, he didn't promote it at all.

In the old base I literally wrote a treatment for a GOE video. The song had so much potential visually & also could've worked in introducing the Mistress of Mayhem narrative. Again, Disease is an ARTS NOT CHARTS collapse but it's not like GOE is your run of the mill Sabrina Hagpenter song either

You have to be real delusional to think Garden Of Eden wouldn't do a lot better than Disease as a lead. And I love both songs.

I think Gaga released Disease because of Halloween/to reconnect with her fanbase with a really dark and edgy pop song.

Abra did good, maybe if she released it on a Friday, with physicals and a radio deal It'd been a #1 debut, with some weeks at top 10.
