Gaga goes on her first one month break this year and we're already back to album rankings skull skull skull

:sigh:

  1. Mayhem

  2. Born This Way

  3. The Fame (Monster)

  4. ASIB

  5. Artpop

  6. Chromatica

  7. Joanne

imagine a perfect celebrity kind of a song themed around her giving birth and concept of birth (which she is already known to adore from btw the song imagery)

and imagine if we get mother mayhem once she's an actual mother

mayhem

1) BTW 2) MAYHEM 3) ARTPOP

Her trinity. BTW her most authentic & bold. MAYHEM her most grounded & consistent. ARTPOP with the most adrenaline & some of her hardest instrumentals.

4) TFM

Track for track no skips but only 8 tracks keeps it from feeling like as much of a body of work as the top 3.

5) Chromatica 6) The Fame

Both good albums that aren't her best. The Fame has more passion but I like dance music so Chromatica gets the edge due to its sound & cohesion.

7) Joanne

Not bad but it's missing a spark that makes her other albums special & lacks strong standouts (other than PI).

The way everyone hates Joanne. It's so awful outside of PI and MR. rip

DIC is alright, but that's relative to the rest of the album, not her discography.

Mayhem, as great as it is, in some respects feels like Gaga falling in love with her music and artistry again in an almost abrupt manner. Like she suddenly fell in love with herself as a musician again.

I'm very curious what she could do next with this reinvigoration but also in a more forward-looking way. I actually think her next album might be hands down her best.

Where is the love for Diamond Heart? It's a good song. heart

Going through her studio albums, Interscope did a pretty good job with single choices. There's a few songs that could've been picked, but overall they selected highlights or most GeePee friendly. Especially when I think of some of the other pop girls and their single choices.

That's true, it's decent. I don't listen to it often but I like it and could've had a video to something (even if not a single.)

did she acknowledge the shooting btw? it happened literally right after she was in australia, i think she'd be sorry about it that maybe one of her audience members could have been killed

but we are def getting the zionist gaga narrative back up with this suburban

Yup, DIC is pretty meh but had the fortune of being compared against the rest of Jopanned. Diamond Heart and Sinner's Prayer are the only other album tracks on PI and MR's level but you can tell her heart was not in Joanne at all.

I liked Sinner's Prayer initially, but it just had no replay value for me. I think I enjoyed it since it felt more close to how the album was positioned, and in some way made me think of Teeth. Beyond that, it kinda fell flat.

BTW / MAYHEM (I struggle choosing between them because while I love the ambition of BTW, I also adore MAYHEM's high-level and expensive-sounding quality)

I liked SP during the Dive Bar Tour because it sounded grittier, the released version feels more dull

She's American. That's all I have to say about whether this would've crossed her mind to comment on or not.

Yeah. My main issue with Joanne is if she was going to do the whole country schtick, go all-in and make it a concept record. Sinners Prayer with the grit, Million Reasons as the lead (and potentially only) single, more songs that lean into the more husky dive bar style delivery..

It'd still no doubt be my least listened record by her, but she went like 40% of the way, didn't fully commit to it, and then her promotion and visuals also were a weird mixture of different vibes outside of a cowboy hat. rip

Love the sis but there wasn't much of a vision happening.
