A DREAM! I saw a couple too. Also MANY Judas and Papa ones. A bit shocked that both songs are not doing better on Spotify, hopefully they will keep growing.

Every time when I'm on listening session and a random MAYHEM track comes on shuffle and when I click 'See Album' it ALWAYS redirects to the standard version (14 tracks). A mess. No wonder the bonus tracks have such low streams... casual listeners probably don't even know those songs exist

Jk I think it's a decent bop but I'm always amazed at how often the phrase "Gaga-coded" and its variations are used as shorthand in the modern pop landscape critique. Speaks to how strong Gar's sonic and artistic signature is that anything in the electropop sphere is immediately associated with her. Same with her iconography and visuals too.

btw i just finished a five year chemistry degree with computational elements and about to start another MSc in bioinformatics and i promise the AI she's using is nothing like the generative AI consuming vast amounts of water and stifling creativity

what they're most likely doing, is gathering vast amounts of data on the skin tissue they use, then using a form of AI to help analyse and predict patterns based on the skin phenotypes and other biological factors. this would allow them to create an enormous library that could be used for personalised skin-care (acne, eczema etc.) treatments, and could eventually provide an alternative or complementary model to some forms of animal testing

from a slightly more technical perspective, from what i understand.. their company likely uses machine learning to analyse experimental biological data and predict which compounds might produce desirable effects in skin. their model will propose candidate molecules → those candidates will be tested experimentally on living human skin → the resulting data goes back into the model → the predictions improve :)

they are likely targeting cosmetic skincare investors simply because cosmetics provides a much more accessible initial commercial and regulatory pathway. also, very often, medical advancements in skincare (i.e. skin grafts for burn victims, treatments for acne and eczema etc.), arise from research conducted in the cosmetic skincare industry. the two sectors are deeply intertwined in that aspect..

so, ultimately, they're commercially approaching the problem through skincare, but the underlying biological platform isn't inherently limited to cosmetics. even if they market this company as a personalised beauty brand, the data collected and algorithms created will likely be enormously transferable to medicinal treatments

AI has been around in many forms for literal decades, we all need to start learning to separate the generative AI from machine learning and whatnot (not @ you in particular btw, just in general there's a lot of misinformation around AI atm ♡)

It's funny that if Gaga had released the exact same song, you'd be calling it a banger. And honestly, that applies to most of you. Bass Persuades is incredible.

As for comparing her to Gaga, it's funny because they've both been in the music industry for roughly the same amount of time, except Miley started as a child. If anything, the song — and especially the music video — could be seen as referencing and drawing inspiration from Michael Jackson or Madonna.

I don't want to lash Miley, I like her but this is exactly why she's so hit and miss. She doesn't commit fully to the part and that's one thing about Gaga even if she isn't the greatest dancer, she's damn sure gonna figure it the **** out, convince you that she is and deliver excellence, she's not gonna just give you a little 1-2 step

Lowkey if Gaga released more frequently I think the quality would suffer and she'd follow a similar career trajectory as Miley. A+ celebrity with B tier music. What Gaga thrives on is creating CLASSICS and classics take time.
