150 bucks for no new songs and a badly cut out photoshop edit slapped on a black background ? all announced during probably the worst news week of the past months ?

If they were going to do this, I wish they'd started with DIL in 2023. This feels so... haphazard and random.

Hope the songs are at least remastered tbh

Also find this a bit weird. The font, the black background, this puzzle piece of horse/alligator through the covers... why did she do this with B'day rerelease?

Tbf £35 for a standard vinyl re-release (with a sickening cover) is enticing to me as a fan, and I will certainly be purchasing!! But I still dont know if this counts to me as an 'epic celebration of BDay'. I guess the 'Can I Watch You?' song counts as a new song to enjoy on the anniversary date, but I still just feel like surely at least a remaster would be good. I mean, the vinyl crackles on Resentment alone make it unlistenable...

For what it's worth, the tracklist on the back of my Renaissance vinyl does NOT include any of the features, so there could be additional elements to this 20th anniversary edition that are still hiding from us

this whole decade just being her testing out how sloppy and messy yet increasingly expensive she can become before people finally say enough

Why do anniversary editions have to be re-recorded? Feels like some of these expectations are only ones she gets compared to other artists doing anniversary editions…

There's actually so many careless small things that annoy me with this release

• Why was Morning Dew, a BEY era song tacked on this let alone the single

• Why is she using the Renaissance/Cowboy Carter font on the back for the tracklist. USE THE B'DAY FONT

• Why remove songs that were previously on the album for an "ultimate anniversary edition"

I hope her entire unreleased catalogue leaks including visuals and Jay-Z divorces her and she didn't sign a prenup I'm done defending her she needs to be taught a lesson or two

ma'am, have you listened to B'Day recently? The tracks sound like they were recorded on granite and potatoes.

Regardless, her voice has matured and evolved so beautifully since 2006 that it's natural to want to hear her take on these songs afresh. Her cover of Flaws and All during the Renaissance tour was absolutely spectacular.
