Do we think this could work for Bey?

IMO, this feels perfectly aligned with being another huge Bey moment.

  • Lines up with Act III (Halftime is June, Met Gala is May)

  • Her whole thing is "firsts" and "innovation"; this fits the bill

  • She's literally friends with Chris Martin, so there's that.

Only things making me think otherwise are:

  • She's big enough to do it herself and the notion of it being a curated multi-artist show doesn't seem like her bag. Still, if she tipped out for Super Bowl 2016 with Coldplay and Bruno for 5mins in the name of promoting the Formation Tour right after, it could work here.

  • I can't speak to their data metrics, but Fifa's decisions for previous musical acts have been questionable. It either feels like totally missing the mark or angling to hit every mark (and thus ironically missing the mark) like whatever they did last year.

Coldplay giving input... and she's allegedly working with him... the reason Fifa and Coldplay are working together are because of their joint work with... Global Citizen. And who else works closely with Global Citizen

A Bad Bunny Collab right now would guarantee an opening of 13mio+ streams, guaranteed. Literally the entirety of South America would tune in (including Brazil because of Bey) + the US + Europe. It would quite easily become her biggest opening because Bad Bunny is THAT huge atm

And when it's not a single, sounds like Leviis Feet, and opens with 3 million then what?

You cannot compare Post Malone's pull in 2024 with Bad Bunny's pull right now. Bad Bunny is literally gaining significantly more streams on daily basis than Taylor Swift, who is a streaming behemoth herself.

If there was a single with Bad Bunny, I'd bet money on it opening with 10+ million streams.

Ironically Levii's Jeans could have been a hit if pushed.

Did anyone see that theory she is teasing Telephone pt 2 with the photos of the telephone and the burger?

I don't think we are getting another song with Gaga tbh, with so many artists she could potentially collab with, I don't think Beyoncé would go back to Gaga.

I am also probably one of the very few who don't really need another song from them two (even though I like Gaga).

I was reading all that. It's quite a rabbit hole lol. Down to the burger and all. I'm not against a follow up to Telephone but at the same time if u know Bey, you'd know she is not one to repeat herself so I don't see it

Influences I want to hear: grunge, psychedelic, alt rock, numetal, punk, emo, punk

....bring it on Bey!

punk, emo and numetal are very unlikely.

I think there's a good chance for psychedelic (since it mixes quite well with Funk Rock) as well as Alt Rock (she experienced with that on Never Gonna Love Again).

I hope for at least one Hard Rock song that is very electric guitar + drum heavy.

Act 3 is going to be a fusion of different genres of rock. She does things in her way. I hope people don't expect this to be traditional rock lol

I kind of expect further development of tracks on like BEYONCE, like Haunted.

Hmm I'm just not seeing how Bad Bunny would hypothetically fit into the supposed sound of Act 3 though. rip All those other names I can see but not him.

Maybe latin funk. Was a bigger thing in the 60s and 70s

Not to be rude, but we're on act iii now, so I don't understand how y'all aren't getting that the music isn't going to be what you think it is and won't fit into any predetermined notions of what rock is. This happened the last two times. With act ii, she literally said, "This isn't a country album. It's a Beyoncé album."

If she wants Bad Bunny or anyone else on a "rock" album, she'll make it work.

Love Bad Bunny...but he can stay away from act iii...

I'm here for Telephone Part 2, however, even though the monsters get more insufferable by the day bam

it's just like when people brought up songs for CCT and people were replying "how does that fit on a country tour" only for her to not incorporate any old songs re-arranged with a country flair anyways

Buckiin didn't give Country and Plastic off the Sofa didn't give House. There's always gonna be fringe songs / more genre blending moments on these albums.

I'm personally more intrigued to see if a Bad Bunny collab could explore psychedelic rock music (a blend of rock, latin and soul). This genre was popular in Puerto Rico in the 1960s.

Some examples can be found here:

we need to discover time travel... imagine this for the CCT

The intro of this that leads into Spaghetti

I adored the CCT and lowkey think it's the most fun I've had at one of her shows.

AND

The opportunity Parkwood had to create an inventive and cohesive Western/Southern setlist complete with new arrangements and these types of deep cuts was a missed opportunity…

Yeah the musical direction at CCWT was a miss for me. I mean compare it even to IAWT. A lot of those songs were torn apart and rebuilt band first.

There seems to be a black Coke zero can in some of her pictures, and it's turned label facing away. Is she still under contract with Pepsi or hiding it just in case rip

It's turned around in several pics

This! One song is gonna have a blend of like 3/4 different genres.

"Genres are a funny little concept..aren't they?"
