I remember listening to In the Zone album for the first time as a kid and freaking out over how different it was to her other stuff. :WAP:

My least favorite song from the album but still a 9/10 :gaycatney5:

For me that's Outrageous, which even she hated, which broke her ankle, and which was R. Kelly written/produced. Triple homicide :dies:

Showdown is gold in comparison

Should have been a single along with I Got That Boom Boom. Even The Hook Up deserved a release. This era should have been 6 singles long :WAP:

This is completely second-hand from memory, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the story I always heard was that Britney's label insisted for Outrageous to be on the album & be a single, and Britney wasn't into it, and she fought for songs like MATM, Toxic, Everytime to be singles instead, until she eventually had to do Outrageous for the Catwoman movie.

There was also an interview in 2003 where an interviewer brought up Outrageous and Britney outright said that it's not her favorite and she prefers Early Mornin :dies:

Nnnn I did know she had to fight for MATM and Toxic over it but I didn't know she shaded it in an interview :rip: damn, well, I agree it's in the lower tier of ITZ, but that doesn't mean much since ITZ is 10/10

The production is so infectious. It's so different yet so her. :jonny5:

I bopped to this so much! It's kinda stunning even today. It so needed a video

As the OP said, one of her greatest ever deep cuts.
